Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce weight and maintain sufficient strength by constituting a core metal, embedding the insertion material in double structure in plastic.
CONSTITUTION: The insertion material 1 in double structure which is formed by welding the reinforcing plate 6 in superposition having the driving sprocket guide part 3 and the projection element covering part 5, with the upper surface of the steel base plate 2, is embedded in a core metal 7 made of plastic or die cast (aluminum alloy), positioning the base plate 2 on the lower part of a pair of projection elements 4 and 4'. The core metal of a crawler 9 is constituted by embedding the core metal 7 at equal intervals in rubber material 8. The constitution described above allows the core metal to be remarkably light-weighted, and as a result of this, the whole crawler can be made light-weight.
