Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient image density and obtain copied images of good quality by providing the electrode member including magnetic material portion on a developing sleeve as the shape conforming roughly to the photoreceptor surface. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve 1 comprises forming resin such as polyethlene, phenol or the like or insulation-type non-magnetic material such as glass or the like to cylindrical form. The multipolar magnet 2 having been magnetized to 8 poles is driven to rotate counterclockwise at a suitable number of revolutions. Resin-coated iron powder is bound to the magnetic material portion 3 by means of adhesive agent or the like on the sleeve 1 and in the lower half portion of the developing region 6 opposing to a drum 5. Further, an electrode member 4 consisting of a conductive tape is affixed onto the magnetic material portion 3, whereby it is installed to the shape roughly conforming to the photoreceptor surface. The electrode member is electrically connected to the base of the photosensitive drum 5. Thereby, developing efficiency may be enhanced and the copied images of good quality and high density obtained.
