Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain an accurate measured value by a unit which measures the quantity of flow by the radiation value of a self-heating element, by stabilizing a flow by providing a unit stirring the flow inside of a fluid passage.
CONSTITUTION: Fan 5 is placed in fluid passage 2 of the upstream side (or downstream) of self-heating wire 3 provided in flow tube 1. Turned by a flow, this fan 5 requires no external force and stirs the flow to cencel an impulse of flow, so that flux-velocity distribution will be steady near the heating element as shown by arrows S. This thermal flow meter, therefore, provides an accurate measured value.
