Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the level of the tertiary mutual modulation distortion wave without changing the signal output level by giving an equivalent control to only the load impedance against the tertiary mutual modulation distortion wave and without changing the load impedance against the signal frequency of the amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The ultra-high frequency carrier composed of two waves is divided into two parts through 3dB directional coupler 2. And one of the divided part of the wave is supplied to main transistor amplifier 1 via delay circuit 25 which corrects the time delay of the main amplifier circuit and the distortion wave injection circuit; and the other is supplied to auxiliary amplifier 3 featuring an intensive tertiary distortion property. The double frequency output of the tertiary mutual modulation component among the output of amplifier 3 is branched 4, and one of the branched output is supplied to 3dB directional coupler 9 via variable resistance attenuator 5 and variable phase shifter 8 with the other also supplied to coupler 9 via variable resistance attenuator 6 and phase shifter 7 respectively. The output of coupler 9 is injected to the output of amplifier 1 via circulator 10, and the reflected wave (output wave) of amplifier 1 is obtained through output terminal 12.
