Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a titanium alloy which excels in the impact resistance, tensile strength and working property and is appropriate for a turbine or the like, by adding prescribed quantities of aluminium, molybdenum and chromium to titanium.
CONSTITUTION: The titanium alloy comprises 2.0 to 5.0% by weight of aluminium, 1.0 to 9.0% by weight of molybdenum, 6.1 to 9.0% by weight of chromium and the rest of titanium.
USE: The titanium alloy is appropriate for a steam turbine, jet engine fan or gas turbine compressor blade or the like which are required of high impact resistance and tensile strength.
