Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:2-Methyl-substituted or unsubstituted-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-ylthiol esters of formula I (R is H or methyl). EXAMPLE:2-Methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-ylthiol ester of 1H-terazole-1-acetic acid. USE:Hypnotics. Antifungal preparations. Acylating agents of amines or hydrazines. Active esters for the synthesis of cephalosporin. PROCESS:The desired compounds of formula I are prepared by the reaction of 2-methyl-substituted or unsubstituted-1,3,4-thiadiazole-5-thiol of formula II or its derivatives with 1H-tetrazole-1-acetic acid or its derivatives.
