Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain wholly thinned solid electrolyte cell by adding in advance a polyfluoroolefin powder to active substances and electrolytes composing anode, cathode, and electrolyte, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In forming anodic layer, electrolyte layer, or cathodic layer to be built in cell container, a polyfluoroolefin powder, e.g., polytetrafluoroethlene resin powder, etc., having a grain size of 300 to 500 microns for example, is added in advance to active substances and electrolyte composing each layer, respectively, and then the mixture is formed by roll press, etc., utilizing the ductility of polyfluoroolefin powder. Thus, without damaging cell characteristics, the formation of each of anodic layer, etc. into a thickness of approx. 0.1mm, thus permitting the manufacture of wholly thinned cell.
