Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out a high degree treatment of an org. waste liquid as well as treat excessive sludge effectively by a method wherein a part of a nitrating liquid in a biological nitration and denitrification procedure is subjected to the solid-liquid separation and added into an inflow liquid directed to the activated carbon treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A part of a nitration liquid in a biological nitration and denitrification procedure is subjected to the solid-liquid separation and added to an inflow liquid directed to the activated carbon treatment to treat an org. waste liquid. For example, the excretion 1 is introduced into the first denitrification tank 4 along with a returned sludge 2 and a circulated nitration liquid 3 and, subsequently, sodium hydroxide 6 is added to a nitration tank 5 to carry out the nitration treatment and a part 3 of a nitration liquid is circulated to the first denitrification tank 4. The remaining portion is subjected to the denitrification treatment in the second denitrification tank 7 and reached to a precipitation basin 10. Then, by including an appropriate amount of NOx artificially into an inflow water introduced into an activated carbon adsorbing tower 1, the interior of the activated carbon tower is prevented from being converted to an anaerobic condition and the objected treated water quality is always obtained.
