Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a disarrangement of a bead wire which has at least three layers laminated one on another by constituting the bead wire such that the thickness and width are differentiated between two adjacent layers thereof and each layer has a cross section which presents a flattened, widened shape which is arcuate at each end thereof.
CONSTITUTION: In one illustrative embodiment, a bead wire 20 includes five annular bodies 21W25 fittedly layered one on another in the order of their diameters. The width 27 of the annular body 23 of the center layer is made greater than the width 26 of the annular body 21 of the innermost layer while the thcikness is made smaller towards the center layer so that the annular bodies present a generally hexagonal cross section. Besides, each layer 21W25 presents a cross section which is linear at the top and the bottom thereof and is arcuate at each horizontal end thereof so that it generally presents a flattened, widened shape. The structure thus provides a bead wire which eliminates the occurrence of a disarrangement thereof when a tire is manufactured or during vulcanization of the tire.
