Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an H2 occluding body having high H2 occluding and releasing speed, a large amount of H2 to be occluded and released and high heat conductivity and free from metal scattering and deposition by filling much H2 occluding hydride or H2 occluding metal into a cellular metal porous body.
CONSTITUTION: Much H2 occluding hydride or H2 occluding metal is filled into a cellular metal porous body formed into a spongy three-dimensional net. Thus, high heat conductivity is obtained, and the H2 occluding metal filled into each cell of the porous body is trapped in each cell and becomes difficult to move. Accordingly, the early-stage filling state and the early-stage void state are maintained for a long term to maintain stable H2 occluding and releasing speed and a stable amount of H2 to be released. By mixing heat conductive additives such as Cu, Al and graphite or a viscoelastic substance into the hydride or the H2 occluding metal and filling this mixture into the above-mentioned porous body, metal powder is further prevented from falling off and scattering, and the heat conductivity from deteriorating.
