Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve discharge characteristics and shorten assembly work time, by mixing a powder consisting mainly of a positive pole active material and a dispersion liquid of polytetrafluoroethylene, drying, pulverizing, press forming, and heat treating.
CONSTITUTION: A powder consisting mainly of a positive pole active material and a dispersion liquid of polytetrafluoroethylene are mixed, dried, and crushed into powder. It is preferable that the dried massive mixture be crushed after rolling. The powdery positive pole mix is press-formed into a desired shape and is subjected to heat treatment to remove water completely. The adequate quantity of polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion liquid is about 1∼3wt% based on the positive pole active material in terms of solids. It is common that a conductive adjuvant such as graphite powder is blended in a quantity of 5∼30wt% based on the positive pole active material powder.
