Abstract

PURPOSE: To condition room air while keeping an adequate humidity and without lowering room temperature during heating, by a method wherein a heating means is arranged on the downstream side of a humidifying means so that only the humidified air is heated through effective use of power.
CONSTITUTION: Dry air in a room or the like is sucked in by a fan 6, and passed through a primary filter 25 arranged in a rear inflow port 24 of an outer frame 2. A pump 7 connected directly to a motor 4 sucks up water in a water tank 1 via a suction port 39 and discharge it via discharge ports 40, to moisten a filter 8 arranged around the pump 7. Thus, air passing through the filter 8 is humidified and cooled. The humidified and cooled air is led to an outflow port 10 by the fan 6, heated by heater 9 so that the decrease in its temperature is compensated for and that cool feeling due to its flow driven by the fan 6 is cannceled by its warmness, and then discharged via the port 10.
