Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve driving efficiency in such a way that reference ignition timing is determined by the both intake manifold negative pressure and rotational speed in the engine, and its timing is constantly included in the knocking range in the engine. CONSTITUTION:A knocking detecting part A is constituted by a knocking sensor, a band pass filter, an amplifier, a sample hold circuit, a comparator, a damper, a knocking rate-voltage converter, a noise mask time generator, a sampling time generator, an engine rotational number detector, a maximum voltage control circuit and a minimum voltage limiting circuit. An ignition control part B provides a delay signal generator for generating ignition signals which are delayed at a certain angle from the reference ignition timing, primary current of the ignition coil is controlled together with the reference ignition timing signals.
