Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to cancel automatically an offset voltage by forming the constant-current source of an input differential circuit by using a current Miller circuit and by making use of its base bias current. CONSTITUTION:The constant current source of an input differential amplifying circuit is formed of current Miller circuit 1 and the collector output of either of a couple of common-base transistor TRs Q4 and Q5, e.g., TRQ4 is constant current IO. Base bias currents of TRs Q4 and Q5 are supplied to 4:1 current Miller circuit 2, and the collector output of TRQ12 is the base current supply of differential TRQ1. As a result, since the base currents of TRs Q4 and Q5 are four times those of TRs Q1 and Q2, the Miller output of Miller circuit 2 is equal to the base current of TRQ1, so that any DC current will not flow through input resistance R1. An offset voltage can therefore be canceled.
