Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the effective use of the light which was cut but is going to the transfer part and thus increase the sensitivity, by providing the refraction optical element onto the surface of the unit element comprising the pickup part and the transfer part in order to give refraction to the light going toward the transfer part of the picture information and then lead the light to the pickup part. CONSTITUTION:Pickup device 1 features linter-line transfer system CCD2, and CCD2 comprises by arraying a number of unit elements 6 consisting of pickup part 4 which receives picture information and then generates and stores the charge and transfer part 5 where the stored charge is transferred with the light cut off in the vertical and horizontal directions. Then parts 4 of element 6 are aligned in the vertical direction to form the linear light receiving element; while parts 5 are aligned in the vertical direction to form the register of the linear non-irradiation region respectively. These element and the register are then aligned in the lateral direction and alternately. Then lenticular lens 6 is provided on CCD2, and the width of 1- unit element 7 is set identical to the total width of parts 4 and 5 along with the axis of the longer direction set to coincide with the central axis of part 4. And the curvature is set for the curved surface so that all incident rays may be led to part 4.
