Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain powder whose color, smell and taste resemle those of cacao beans, by drying, grinding roughly, roasting and pulverizing camellia flowers.
CONSTITUTION: As camellia flowers which dropped after pollination are perishable, water is removed by a dryer. The dried flowers are grinded roughly by a mill and roasted by heating and pulverized by a roller or the like. Powder thus obtained has the same luster, smell and taste as those of cacao beans, and is used as materials for preparing a variety of confectionery.
