Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve power use efficiency and frequency stability by modulating radio waves with a fixed frequency and by detecting them intermittently according to the code by a responser. CONSTITUTION:The micro wave output of transmission part 1 of interrogator 101 is continuously radiated toward responser 102 through transmission antenna 2. Receiving antenna 11 of responser 102 receives it and converts it to a DC by rectifier circuit 12 to supply power to respective parts of the responser. Sequence unit 13 reads out binary memory contents including synchronizing signals from memory unit 14 and makes them into a code string and controls turning-on and off of modulation wave oscillator 18 with a unit time width. The radio wave for response is radiated from transmission antenna 17 by repeating the receiving input with no power source as it is, however, it is modulated by the output of oscillator 18 in modulator circuit 15. Thus, the radio wave for response inputted to receiving detection part 4 by receiving antenna 3 with the same frequency as the transmission wave has the modulation part and non-modulation part connected according to the binary code string, and only the modulation part is detected by 4, and the binary code string is read by decoding 5.
