Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve responsibility and damping characteristics of servo valve, by reducing frictional force acted between spool and sleeve to a great extent and thereby ensuring smooth movement of the spool in the sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: In the arrangement of direct-acting servo valve of this invention, a homogeneous resilient material 6 like rubber having internal damping effect is interposed between bobbin 7 and support metal 10. The resilient material 6 is connected at its left end to bobbin 7 and at its right end to support metal 10. With such an arrangement, if current is passed in coil 8, there is exerted a proportional force for driving spool 1. However, since resilient material 6 has a great internal damping effect, peak of the resonance is low and stable, so that spring constant of resilient material 6 is not required to be so large. Further, since characteristics of resilient material 6 is uniform, any deflective force is not developed when a force is acted thereto, which results in reduction of frictional force acted between spool 1 and sleeve 4. Thus, it is enabled to obtain a servo valve excellent in its responsibility and controllability.
