Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain this lamp that the quantity of ultraviolet rays with not more than 2500Å wavelength radiated is large and is suitable for the printing, transcription, etc. of a LSI, etc., by perfectly preventing the existence of halogen gas in a bulb, and by enclosing a specified quantity of selenium and rare gases with specified pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The existence of halogen gas is completely obviated in a bulb 1, to which a pair of electrodes 8, 9 are mounted, and 10-8Wlmg selenium per 1cc inner volume of the bulb and rare gases with 1W10 atmospheric pressure are enclosed. For example, the anode 8 and the cathode 9 are installed into an approximate Rugby ball-like quartz bulb 1, and 0.1mg/cc selenium and xenon gas with 5 atmospheric pressure at 25°C are enclosed in the bulb 1, thus preparing this short arc type discharge lamp of 25V operating voltage and 500W consuming power. Consequently this discharge lamp can be obtained which the quantity of ultraviolet rays with 1960Å wavelength radiated is large and the accuracy of finishing can be improved and working hours can be shortened when using this lamp for the printing, transcription, etc. of a LSI, a super-LSI, etc.
