Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the cooling effects to a stator, by mounting a closed cooling pipe, to which inside refrigerant is filled, to the stator, and by radiating the heat of the stator from the portions of the cooling pipe installed to outer portions than the stator.
CONSTITUTION: A heat transporter 12 consisting of a closed pipe 13, to which inside refrigerant 14 is filled, is mounted to the inside of a slot of a stator core 2. When Joule heat generated at stator windings 3a, 3b is transmitted to an evaporation portion 15 of the heat transporter 12, internal refrigerant 14 evaporates, and steam moves in the condensation portion 16 direction in accordance with pressure gradient in the closed pipe 13. The steam contacts with an inwall of the condensation portion 16 and radiates and condenses, radiates heat while being liquefied and is again flown back to the evaporation portion 15. Thus, heat formed at the stator can effectively be cooled. If installing radiation fins to an outer circumference of the condensation portion 16 of the heat transporter 12, cooling effects can further be increased.
