Abstract
PURPOSE: A stabilizer capable of giving improved thermal stability, transparency, and reduced initial discoloration to a halogen-containing resin free from plate-out, comprising a metal salt of an organic monocarboxylic acid or alkylphenol and a metal-containing phosphorus compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a halogen-containing resin is incorporated with (B) 0.01W10 parts by wt. of at least one type slected from salts of metals of Groups Ia, IIa, and IIb of an organic monocarboxylic acid or alkylphenol and Ni, Zr, Sn, Pb, and Sb salts and (C) 0.01W5 parts by wt. of at least one type of metal-containing phosphorus compound, e.g. formula IV, of formulas I, II, and III: (R1 is alkyl or arylalkyl group; R2 is alkyl, arylalkyl, alkyl having an ether linkage, etc,; R3 is alkyl or anylalkyl group; M is Na, K, Li, Zr, Sb, Pb, Sn, or organotin; M1 is Cd, Ni, Pb, Sn, or organotin; n is the valence of M).
