Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the reduction of speed at the defective position of the rolled material to be automatically surely performed, by installing the memories for storing information upon the rolled material, the arithmetic circuit for computing the position for reducing the speed of the coil, and the speed controller for the driving motor, etc. CONSTITUTION:At the first pass of the reversible cold rolling, the operator 7 operates the defective-point-data of the weld point, etc., the memory 12 memorizes the length from the tip to the defective point, and the memory 13 memorizes the full length of the coil. The stand is reversely driven; and the outputs from the pulse generator 5, the forward slip setter 8, and the roll diameter corrector 9, are inputted to the operator 7 which then operates the legth of the rolled material 4; this length data, information from memories 12 and 13, and the value of the draft percentage setter 18, are inputted to operators 16 and 17; hereby, the length of the rolled material 4 is converted to the length after the second pass. This value is inputted to the operator 19 which subtracts the coil length up to the defective point; hereby, the length up to the tip of coil in the second pass is operated. The difference in the length obtained by the operators 17 and 19, is compared with the coil length necessary for completing the speed reduction in the stand by the comparator 22; and correspondingly to this, the speed of the work roll is reduced through the speed controller 23.
