Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect control transistor from overcurrent by connecting constant voltage diode to the emitter of driving transistor, by providing resistors in series to the constant voltage diode, and by controlling transistor for detecting overcurrent.
CONSTITUTION: The collector side of the control transistor Q11 is the stable output OUT, and the unstable input IN is connected to emitter. Then, the base is connected with the collector of the driving transistor Q12, and the emitter is provided with the constant voltage diode ZD as a constant voltage supply means to supply a voltage lower than stabilized output voltage to obtain the DC potential of the driving transistor Q13 connected to the emitter at the base of the driving transistor Q12. And, the overcurrent detecting resistance Q5 is connected to the earthing side of the constant voltage diode ZD, and the detected voltage, then, controls the overcurrent detecting transistor Q14 connected to the collector which is connected with the base of the driving transistor Q13 in order to protect the control transistor Q11 from overcurrent.
