Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an ozone generator with a high yield of O3 which can reduce man-hour in the working and assembly with a discharge gap formed on the side facing a ground electrode of a dielectric by plural lines of protruded streaks provided in the direction of gas flow while a high voltage electrode is positioned on the back thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Dielectrics 8 is made up of a special ceramic material such as slumina ceramic while plural lines of protruded streaks 10 and a slot 9 are provided so that a discharge gap 16 is formed on the side facing the grounded electrode of the respective dielectrics during the assembly so as to be located between the electrode. In addition, the protruded lines are arranged to be parallel to the direction of flow to guide material gas. Then, an insulating glaze is applied on the side close to the circumference on the back of the respective dielectrics while inside the glaze, a iron oxide affilitated conductive glaze 12 is applied. Then both are baked. The two dielectrics are put together with one back on the other to form a high voltage electrode 17 coated with the glaze. Then, water-cooled electrodes 1 and the electrodes 17 are alternately arranged to assemble an ozone generator. This ozone generator provides dielectric constant high enough to rectify the flow of material gas thereby improving the efficiency of ozonization.
