Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resisting conductor of high soldering property, by providing a layer of metal such as nickel on a conductor such as copper and then providing a silver coating layer on the metal layer and alloying only the surface of the silver coating layer in a short time during diffusion and thereby improving the heat treatment temperature limit. CONSTITUTION:Nickel is plated by a watt bath etc. on the central conductor such as copper or copper alloy, thereby making the metal layer 2. Silver is plated on the metal layer 2 by an alkali cyanide bath etc., thereby making the silver coating layer 3. Electric tin is plated on the silver coating layer 3 by a borofluoride bath etc. A tin-silver alloy layer 4 is produced by the surface diffusion. The metal assembly is elongated into a wire. The wire is treated for diffusion in a heated hydrogen furnace etc, thereby obtaining the wiring conductor of very stable soldering property and heat resistance.
