Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the generating efficiency by making a solid sensible heat recovery portion of a heat pipe and by using a heat medium of low boiling point to produce high pressure vapor.
CONSTITUTION: A hot slab or solid 1 acting as a solid sensible heat recovery portion imparts radiative heat to one end 2a of a heat pipe 2 and is cooled of itself. The other end portion 2b, where the condensation is carried out, is positioned in the evaporating pipe 3a of a boiler 3 for containing a heat medium of low boiling point so that heat is fed to the heat medium to produce the vapor. For instance, for water vapor, the saturated vapor temperature is 197.4°C in order to establish 15kg/cm2a. On the contrary, in case furon F-11 is used, it is sufficient to lower the temperature to 130°C in order to establish the same vapor pressure.
