Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to write signals without causing any error in a memory when the sudden variation in horizontal synchronous period occurs in TV signals, by forcing the output phases of an automatic phase control circuit to synchronize by an input horizontal synchronizing signal.
CONSTITUTION: Before the head of a simple VTR is changed over, the instruction which holds the control voltage of the voltage control oscillator of automatic phase control circuit 10 is transmitted from field counter 11 to circuit 10 so as to hold the control voltage, so that the sudden variation in horizontal synchronising signal period occurs, the oscillation frequency of circuit 10 well not change suddenly. Then, information of several lines about the time of the sudden variation in horizontal synchronising signal period is written to memory 5 with its phase made different, but no error occurs to data previously written. In addition, the output phase of circuit 10 after a control-voltage holding interval is forced by an input horizontal synchronizing signal to synchronize, so that the sudden variation in control voltage can be prevented
