Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a contactless igniting device wherein an angle of delay of a constant value is obtained by an AC generator and a simple circuit using a small capacitor regardless of the rotational speed of an engine.
CONSTITUTION: In the case where switch means 21 is closed, an AC voltage generated by an AC generator 1 is applied to a transistor 3 through a resistor 2. When a primary current flows to an igniting coil 14 in a state where the AC voltage is in negative state and the voltage is converted from the negative state to the positive state, the primary current is interrupted and a spark is generated in an ignition plug 15. In the case where switch means 21 is opened, the AC signal is converted from the negative state to positive state, and a charge current flows in a capacitor 16 until it reaches the positive peak. While the charge current flows, the transistor 3 is connected in the interrupted state. When the AC signal passes through the positive peak, the transistor 3 becomes conductive, and a spark is generated in the ignition plug 15. For this reason, the ignition timing is delayed at a predetermined angle.
