Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove gas and water contained in oil by utilizing the cavity phenomenon produced by supersonic wave. CONSTITUTION:Supersonic wave produced by supersonic wave oscillator 3 is irradiated on insulating oil via vibrator 2. Irradiated supersonic wabe produces the cavity phenomenon in the insulating oil and produces a large quantity of fine bubbles. These bubbles contain gas and water existing in the insulating oil. By maintaining the inside of degassed layer 1 vacuum by means of a vacuum pump 8, these bubbles are made to float on the oil surface and then they are discharged out of degassed layer 1. At this time, when the oil temperature is raised to 50 deg.C-100 deg.C, the viscosity of the insulating oil falls, and the production of bubbles by supersonic wave is operated more effectively. Consequently, gas and water contained in oil can be removed efficiently.
