Abstract

PURPOSE:To privide the subject device wherein the primary side of a linear motor is fitted to the lower surface of the secondary side of the linear motor through a holding mechanism so that both motors constantly have a proper interval therebetween, thereby to reduce the number of movable parts to facilitate the maintenance of the device. CONSTITUTION:Travelling wheels 3a and 3b bearing the full load of a traction car 1 are provided on the surface of a travelling road, and, furthermore, the secondary plate 6 of the linear motor is provided within the groove 5a of the travelling road 5 so that the upper surface of said plate 6 or the upper surface of a structure integrally formed with said secondary plate 6 is in the same height with the travelling road 5. Furthermore, the primary side 10 of the linear motor is fitted to the support arm 8 protruded in the inner part of the groove 5a from the traction car 1 through a holding mechanism which holds the primary side 10 of the linear motor so that it is vertically displaceable with respect to the lower surface of the secondary plate 6 of the linear motor at a proper interval therebetween ao as to be faced with each other so that the primary side becomes pursuable and displaceable to the lower surface of the secondary plate 6. According to the above described construction, the traction car can be caused to travel with a proper interval between the primary side 10 of the linear motor and the secondary plate 6, and the construction of the device is compact and execution of works and maintenance of the device become easy.
