Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wedge for a compressor motor from being dislocated in the up-and-down direction due to an electromagnetic vibration by a method wherein, out of outside parts of bent lines, the part on the side of the bend direction of a coil group is made larger than the width of the other part. SOLUTION: A wedge 1 is formed in such a way that a sheet of rectangular electric insulating paper whose length is identical to, or a little longer than, that of a slot at a stator core for a compressor motor is bent to the outer circumferential side of the stator core by two bent lines 2, 3 by keeping a small interval. Then, in a state that the wedge is set, the width (a) of a part 4 to be used as the side in the bend direction of a core group is made larger than the width (b) of the other part 5. As a result, the side in the bend direction of the coil group exerts a larger force on the wall surface of the slot than its opposite side, the part 4 having the larger width (a) comes into contact with the coil group in a wide area in a state that the coil group is set on the open side without a slot, and the coil group is sandwiched strongly. Consequently, it is possible to restrain the movement in the up-and-down direction of the wedge 1.
