Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leak of grease through a slit of a cover and to prevent the intrusion of solid material into a lower rail by forming a part of a cover facing to an opening part of a lower rail of outer sealing pieces and inner sealing pieces in the vertical direction so as to face to the slit. SOLUTION: Covers 3, 4 respectively having a slit at a central part thereof are made of a soft elastic synthetic resin, and a part of the covers over an opening part 11 of a lower rail 1 is integrally formed with two stages in the vertical direction. A lower stage is formed with inner sealing pieces 30, 40 and an upper stage is formed with outer sealing pieces 31, 41, and each piece is arranged so as to face to each other. The inner sealing pieces 30, 40 and the outer sealing pieces 31, 41 of the covers 3, 4 are formed along the longitudinal direction of the opening part 11 of the lower rail 1, and a part of the upper rail 2, which is not fitted in the lower rail 1, is fitted so that a tip edges of the left and right inner sealing pieces 30, 40 and the outer sealing pieces 31, 41 contact with each other. With this structure, leak of the, grease from inside of the lower rail 1 and intrusion of the solid material from outside can be regulated.
