Therefore, the photographic film loaded is protected from moisture and dust until it is actually used by a user after manufacturing. Need to be kept. For this reason, each film unit with a lens is packed in a moisture-proof packaging bag when shipped from the manufacturer.
The packaging bag is opened by the user when used.

This is a so-called three-sided pillow packaging bag that seals both openings of the packaging material. The packaging material used for this packaging bag is usually a thin aluminum sheet laminated with several layers of transparent polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, ethylene vinyl acetate and the like.

And six superimposed portions P 1 , P 2 and P 3 are formed,
Steps occur at these boundaries, and in the heating member 106 having a flat sealing surface, a gap is formed at each step, and the opening 101 cannot be completely sealed. In order to improve this, for example, it is conceivable to use a stepped heating member in accordance with the step shape, but if the relative position between the heating member and each step is shifted in the width direction, a gap may be generated instead. There is a disadvantage that it becomes noticeable. Reference numeral 99 in the drawing indicates a film unit with a lens.

After crushing the other pair of surfaces while folding the opening of both sides of the formed packaging material inward at the center of the pair of surfaces facing each other, heating and pressing this crushed surface with a heating member. In a method for sealing a packaging bag to be sealed by sealing, a tip portion of the heating member pressed against the packaging material is formed in a thin blade-like shape, and is pressed in the width direction of the packaging material to narrow the opening portions. It is designed to seal linearly.

Opposite parallel edges 10a and 10b of the packaging material 10 are overlapped at a corner 11a of the film unit 11 with a lens by a well-known pillow packaging machine, and edge-sealed. Due to this edge seal, one side surface 10c of the packaging material 10 becomes flush with the surface of the edge 10b.
The seal positions in the width direction of 0a and 10b are determined more stably than the conventional center seal.
