Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve workability and to suppress the wear and tear of pressuriz ing members by notching the tips of parts to be calked in a V shaped before they are pressurized by the pressurizing members. CONSTITUTION:The tips of the parts 14 to be calked which are projected on a body 12 are deformed to two directions to perform V-shaped calking. In that case, the tips of the parts 14 to be calked are notched in the V shape and the tips of the parts 14 to be calked are pressurized by the pressurizing members 24, 26 in the direction opposite to the projecting direction of the parts 14 to be calked. Therefore, the part 14 to be calked can be deformed efficiently in two directions. Simultaneously, the pressurizing surfaces of the pressurizing members 24, 26 have, for example, enough offlat surfaces. Consequently, align ment between the pressurizing members 24, 26 and the parts 24 to be calked has enough of being rough. Thereby, the workability can be improved. The pressurizing surfaces do not require punch parts striking in wear and tear and the whole pressurizing surface can be used by pressurizing action and local and striking wear can be refrained.

Positioning of the caulked portions 106 and punch portions 118 is troublesome because precision is required, and particularly when there are many caulked portions 106, workability is poor. If the center position of the punch parts 118 does not match the center position of the caulked parts 106, there will be a problem that the fixing force due to caulking will vary2, and furthermore, the appearance will not be good. That is, in the V-shaped caulking method in which the tip of the caulked part protruding from the main body is deformed in two directions and caulked, the tip of the caulked part is notched in a figure 7 shape, and the tip of the caulked part is pressed. It is characterized in that the member is pressed in a direction opposite to the direction in which the caulked portion protrudes.

Since the tip of the caulked part is notched in a 7-shape before being pressed by the pressing member, the caulked part can be efficiently deformed in two directions, and the pressing surface of the pressing member can be, for example, a flat surface. Therefore, the positioning between the pressing member and the caulked portion only needs to be rough, so that workability can be improved.

In addition, there is no need for a punch part on the pressing surface that is subject to significant wear and tear.
Since the entire pressing surface can also be used for the pressing action, significant local wear can be suppressed.

The semi-finished product is transferred to a caulking process and placed between an upper mold 24 and a lower mold 26, which are pressing members shown in FIG. The semi-finished product is held between an upper mold 24 and a lower mold 26 by a jig (not shown).

When the arrangement of the semi-finished products is completed, the mold 24 and the lower mold 26 are brought relatively close to each other. At this time, the opposing surfaces 28.30, which are the pressing surfaces of the upper mold 24 and the lower mold 26, are formed flat, and when the upper mold 24 and the lower mold 26 approach each other, the opposing surfaces 28.30 cause the caulked portion 14 to The tips of the notches 14 are pressed in a direction opposite to the protruding direction of the caulked parts 14, and the parts on both sides of the notch 16 are pushed left and right and bent and deformed. Since the notches 16 are cut in a figure 7 shape so that the ends of the caulked parts 14 are left-right symmetrical, the ends of the caulked parts 14 are pressed and bent in a left-right symmetrical shape. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the second parts 18 and 20 are caulked and fixed, and the second parts 18 and 20 are prevented from being removed from the first part 10.

When the caulking is completed, the second mold 24 and the lower mold 26 are relatively separated, and the semi-finished product, that is, the finished product, which has been caulked can be taken out.

なお、第5図に被かしめ部の他の形状の例を挙げる。Note that FIG. 5 shows examples of other shapes of the caulked portion.

Although various preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments (for example, the shape of the part to be V-shaped crimped, the part body of the part to be crimped), etc. It goes without saying that many modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention, such as the direction and number of protrusions, and the pressing surface of the pressing member may be a curved surface.

(Effects of the Invention) When the V-shaped caulking method according to the present invention is used, the pressing surface of the pressing member can be a flat or curved surface, and no precision is required in the positional relationship between the portion to be caulked and the pressing surface of the pressing member. In the caulking process, semi-finished products can be efficiently placed on the pressing member regardless of the number of parts to be caulked, so the assembly work efficiency is increased and the cost of the product can be reduced, which is economical. In addition, the pressing surface of the pressing member does not require anything equivalent to a conventional punch part, and the entire pressing surface can be used for the pressing action, so there is almost no significant local wear and tear of the pressing member. Effective.
