A first jig with a threaded hole provided in one side thereof and a guide hole communicating with the threaded hole on the other side to have a guide hole having approximately the same diameter as the optical fiber from the boundary with the threaded hole to the end face; and an end face of the first jig. and a second jig with a hole in the center for inserting only the core of the optical fiber excluding the coating part, and the screw hole of the first jig has a hole through which the optical fiber is inserted at the axis. A lock bolt with a thread on the outer periphery is screwed together, a rubber seal is installed adjacent to the threaded end of the lock bolt, an optical fiber is inserted into the guide hole, and the tip of the core excluding the covering portion is made to protrude. Additionally, a jig for polishing an end face of an optical fiber, characterized in that the protruding tip of the core is made to protrude into a hole of a second jig.
