Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with a device for holding and rotating a cut-off core such as connecting and rotating rod and simplify the whole cut-off device and exchange of the cut-off core by disposing the cut-off core on a cut-off position in a paper tube with a magnetic force to cut off the paper tube. CONSTITUTION:A cut-off core 4 is held by a magnetic force generated by a magnetism generator 3. When under such condition a cut-off device 5 begins to cut off, a feed means (turntable) 2 shifts in the proceeding direction of a paper tube (a type of hollow tubular body) in synchronization with the paper tube S. Also, said generator 3 fixed to the feed means 2 and the cut-off core 4 held magnetically therewith shift in synchronization with the paper tube. That is, the cut-off core 4 is located on a cut-off position by the magnetic force so that the paper tube S is cut off by a cut-off device 5 while such condition is held. When the cut-off core 4 is exchanged, the cut-off core 4 is removed from the paper tube S for exchange by erasing the magnetic force.

In the paper tube cutting device according to claim 2, the cutting core is
The cutting core is held by the holding device by the magnetic force, so that the cutting core does not move together with the paper tube (it continues to be held by the holding device. Then, when the cutting device starts cutting,
The feeding means moves in synchronization with the paper tube in the paper tube traveling direction, and the holding device fixed to the feeding means and the cutting core magnetically held therein also move in synchrony. That is, in this device, the cutting core is positioned at the cutting location by magnetic force, and cutting is performed while maintaining this state. When the cutting is completed, the feeding means is retracted to its original position. In the paper tube cutting device according to claim 3, wherein the cutting core is held inside the paper tube while being held by magnetic force at this time, the cutting core is
The cutting core is held in the magnetism generator by the magnetic force, so that the cutting core continues to be held in the magnetism generator without moving together with the paper tube.

When the cutting device starts cutting, the feeding device moves in the paper tube traveling direction in synchronization with the paper tube. At the same time, the cutoff device operates and no voltage is applied to the magnetism generating device, and no magnetic force is generated. As a result, the cutting core escapes from the restraint by the magnetic field of the magnetism generating device, falls into the paper tube, and moves in sync with the paper tube. That is, in this device, the cutting core is aligned to the cutting location by magnetic force, and then the magnetic force is cut off to perform the cutting. Once the cutting is complete, the magnetic generator is energized again, thereby pulling the cutting wick, which has advanced forward, back to its original position. Note that the feeding means also retreats to its original position.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, the cutting method and cutting device of the present invention can provide a novel method and device for cutting paper tubes, particularly for holding cutting cores. That is, since the cutting core is positioned at the cutting location by magnetic force, a cutting core holding and rotating device such as a connecting/rotating rod is not required. This makes it possible to simplify the device, make it easier to handle the cutting device, and prevent malfunctions. Also, when replacing the cutting core, all you have to do is replace the cutting core, making it extremely easy to do so. Exchange becomes possible.

In addition, if the holding device/magnetism generating device uses an electromagnet as in the example, it becomes possible to adjust the strength of the magnetic force by changing the voltage, and this makes it possible to adjust the diameter of the cutting core when changing dimensions. The magnetic force can be easily adjusted according to changes, and the cutting core can be held well.

As described above, the paper tube cutting method and cutting device of the present invention bring about revolutionary progress in holding the cutting core.
