Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable ashes and non-combsutibles to be processed without terminating combustion by a method wherein waste materials are dispersed from a ceiling part of a furnace and a pusher device is arranged at two-stage grid and a lower stage. CONSTITUTION:Waste tire chips 11 are dispersed into a boiler furnace 1 in volumetric manner from a chip hopper 3 installed at a ceiling part with a rotary feeder 2. The dispersed tire chips 11 are accumulated on a first stage grid 4 and their combustion is started. Non-ignited ashes dropped through inner-grid slits of the first-stage grid 4 are completely ignited on a second stage grid 5. Air enters from a combustion air inlet port 6 to a downward part of the second stage grid 5, passes through an air passing hole 5a and then the air is supplied as combustion air for the waste tire tips. Ashes and steel wires dropped from the first stage grid 4 are pushed out regularly to an ash taking-out port 8 by a pusher device 7. The waste tire chips 1 may continue a combustion on the first stage grid 4 even during a timing in which the ashes are being processed at the second stage grid 5.

■ Most of the tires used these days are steel radial tires, but since it is difficult to remove the steel wire from these tires after combustion, it is possible to burn only normal tires that do not contain steel wire, or to remove the steel wire from the tires. For this reason, the furnace had to be shut down.

For those that burn waste containing non-combustibles on a fixed grate, there is a waste supply and dispersion device located on the ceiling of the furnace, and a heat-resistant device located in the furnace below the waste supply and dispersion device. a first grate, a second grate located below the first grate and shouldering air passage holes smaller than the gap in the first grate; It is characterized by comprising a combustion air supply port that communicates downward, and a pusher that is provided on the upper surface of the second grate and pushes out the combustion residue on the second grate to the ash removal port. This project proposes a waste combustion device.

To ensure uniform distribution, the chips are stored in a chip hopper (3) installed on the ceiling, and quantitatively distributed into the boiler furnace (1) by a rotary feeder (2). The scattered tire chips (11) accumulate on the first stage grate (4) and begin to burn. The first stage grate (4) is cooled by flowing air or water into its hollow part in order to avoid burnout. In particular, when air is used, the air after cooling the grate is overfired. The air is supplied to the supply port (9) and used as secondary combustion air (overfire air) in the furnace to prevent smoke generation due to insufficient air in the furnace.
