Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a speed change gear case, by a method wherein the actuating piston of a hydraulically-operated multidisc brake is disposed between a brake disc and a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:A low reverse brake 13 is formed with a brake disc formed in alternate arrangement of a fixed disc 16 spline-engaged with the inner periphery of a speed change gear case 1 and a rotary disc 17 spline-engaged with the outer periphery of a rotary body to be braked, and a brake action is made through the stroke of an actuating piston 18. A low one-way clutch 9 is placed axially adjacently to the low reverse brake 13, and a forward clutch 10 is situated to the inner periphery of the low reverse brake 13. A dead space 19 is formed between the clutches 9 and 10, and the actuating piston 18 is positioned in the dead space 19 between the discs 16 and 17 and the clutch 9. This constitution eliminates the need to increase the size of the end part of the speed change gear case 1.

いて、 前記或る油圧作動多板ブレーキの作動ピストンを、該或
る油圧作動多板ブレーキのブレーキディスクと、前記或
るワンウェイクラッチとの間に配置したものである。
