Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the effect of calling attention of the driver in the following vehicle, and to reduce wind break sound by using the bottom surface of a thick wall section integrally incorporated with the lower surface of a front lens, as an inclined reflecting surface so as to reflect light from a light emitting diode rearward of the vehicle, and by projecting the upper front end part of the lamp body from an opening part. CONSTITUTION:The bottom surface of a thick wall section 38 integrally incorporated with the lower surface of a front lens 25 is used as an inclined reflecting surface 38a for reflecting light from a light emitting diode 4, and a lamp body 26 is projected from an opening part 30 in a spoiler 22. As a result, the height of the lamp can be increased with the confine of the spoiler 22, and the effect of illumination can be increased. Thus, it is possible to enhance the effect of calling attention of the driver in the following vehicle. Further, since the lamp body 26 is projected, a stepped part 48 is formed in the spoiler 22, disturbing the stream of air during running while lowering the velocity thereof, thereby it is possible ot reduce wind break sound by the spoiler 22.

2. Description of the Related Art High-mounted stop lamps are known as lighting devices that give warnings to vehicles behind in order to ensure road traffic safety. This is installed at the driver's eye level on the inside or outside near the rear window, and when it is brightly lit along with the brake lights when braking, it will alert the driver of the car behind you even more and prevent rear-end accidents. It is generally constructed as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. In other words, 1 is a housing, 2 is a front lens that closes the front opening of the housing 1, and 3 is an element defining member disposed inside the front lens 2, and this defining member 3 is composed of a through hole. It has a large number of storage recesses 5 for storing light emitting diodes (LEDs) 4, respectively, and the inner peripheral surface of the front opening forms a paraboloid of revolution reflection surface 6. Of the light emitted from the LED 4, the direct forward light passes through the front lens 2 and is emitted to the outside, while the sideward light hits the reflective surface 6 and is reflected, becoming parallel light rays parallel to the optical axis. and passes through the front lens 2.

By the way, conventional high-mounted stop lamps like this one are designed with functionality first, so they are visually unsightly and do not match the design of the car body, and moreover, they are difficult to install on the outside of the car body. Because it has a box shape, it protrudes from the surface of the car body, creating a problem with large air resistance. Also, if the stop lamp is small, it will be difficult to stand out and will reduce the warning function, and if it is large, if it is installed inside the car body, it will reduce the effective area of the rear window, which will hinder visibility behind the car body.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention opens openings on the rear end surface and the rear end lower surface of a spoiler installed on the upper surface of the rear end of the vehicle body or the roof, and a large number of light emitting diodes are installed on the rear end surface of the spoiler installed on the roof of the vehicle body. A lamp body consisting of a lamp body and a front lens mounted at a predetermined interval in the width direction is assembled into the opening of the spoiler, and the opening is closed by the front lens, and the front lens has the It has a thick part that covers the lower part of the opening, and the front part of this thick part is continuous with the front lower part of the front lens, and the bottom surface is inclined forward and downward to direct the light from the light emitting diode to the front of the lens. A reflective surface for reflection is formed, and the front end of the upper surface of the lamp body is made to protrude to the outside by a required dimension from the opening.

According to the high mount stop lamp 20 having such a configuration, since it is incorporated inside the spoiler 22, there is no need to secure a special installation location, and the external appearance of the vehicle body 21 is not spoiled in any way. Never. Further, the light emitted from the LED 4 is diffused by the condenser lens 42 and the diffusion surface 43 of the inner lens 28, and the light emitted from the front lens 25
Make it transparent and illuminate the rear of the vehicle. In that case, LED4
As shown in FIG. 4, a part of the light enters the thick part 38 of the front lens 25 and is reflected forward by the bottom surface, that is, the reflective surface 38&, so it stops by the thickness of the thick part 38. The illumination width p in the height direction as the lamp 20 increases,
Easier visibility from the rear. Therefore, the effect of alerting the driver of the following vehicle is improved.

Further, when the front lens 25 is made to protrude from the opening 30 of the spoiler 22, a step 48 (FIG. 4) is created between the upper part of the rear end surface of the spoiler 22 and the front end part of the upper surface of the front lens 25.
This step 48 disturbs the flow of air 49 flowing along the top surface of the spoiler during travel, and at the same time reduces its speed. As a result, the vortex of air generated behind the spoiler 22 changes, reducing wind noise caused by the spoiler 22. In addition, when the front lens 25 protrudes, the front peripheral edge of the lens 25 can be wiped cleanly during cleaning, and the opening edge of the opening 30 does not act as an edge, making it safer.

As explained above, since the vehicle lamp according to the present invention is constructed by being incorporated inside the spoiler, there is no need to secure a location for installing the lamp on the rear upper surface of the vehicle body, on the roof, etc. Since it is possible to provide long strip-shaped illumination, it is possible to provide a progressively innovative lighting device.A thick part is integrally provided on the lower surface of the front lens, and the bottom of this thick part is made into an inclined reflective surface. Since the light is reflected toward the rear of the vehicle body, the height of the lamp can be increased within the constraints of the spoiler, and the lighting effect can be improved. Also, since the light body protrudes from the opening of the spoiler, it has great effects such as reducing the wind noise generated by the spoiler when driving, and can be applied to external high-mounted stop lamps. It is suitable.
