Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.多孔質基材内に物質を含浸させるCVI方法であって、 基材を容器内に配置する工程、 基材は、その露出表面からより離れた部分において、該表面におけるより高い 温度を有するように温度勾配を内部に形成するように、基材を加熱する工程、お よび 含浸すべき物質の前駆体を構成する反応気体を容器に導入し、含浸すべき物質 の生成が基材のより高い温度の部分において促進される工程 を含んで成り、 含浸プロセスの開始時および少なくともその主要部分の間、基材の露出表面の 温度を、含浸すべき物質を反応気体が付着させる最低温度より大きくない温度に 保持し、他方、基材の露出表面から遠い基材の部分は付着の最低温度より高い状 態にあるように、基材加熱をコントロールすることを特徴とする方法。 2.基材の表面と加熱体との間の接触により基材を加熱し、加熱体と接触する 基材の表面と基材の露出表面との間で、基材内で温度勾配を形成するようにする 請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 3.加熱体は、容器の外側に位置する誘導コイルと電磁的にカップリングされ たコアである請求の範囲第2項記載の方法。 4.基材は、導電性材料で作られ、容器の外側に位置する誘導コイルとの直接 的な電磁的カップリングにより加熱される請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 5.基材の露出表面における基材温度をセンサーにより測定し、誘導コイルに 供給する電源電流をコントロールすることにより実質的に一定の値に維持する請 求の範囲第3項または第4項記載の方法。 6.基材の露出表面の温度TSは、TD−50℃≦TS≦TD(TDは最低付着温 度)となるような値に維持される請求の範囲第1〜5項のいずれかに記載の方法 。 7.少なくとも1つの飽和または不飽和炭化水素を含む反応気体から熱分解カ ーボンを化学的に蒸気含浸する請求の範囲第1〜6項のいずれかに記載の方法で あって、反応気体が更に水素を含み、基材の内部で1230℃の両側にわたる温 度勾配を形成することを特徴とする方法。
