Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely, surely and more easily execute attaching and detaching operations of a needle cover by having a muscular fragment along a muscular weakened part cut off by pulling of a pull-tab, thereby forming a slit-like notch in the coaxial direction of an injection needle. CONSTITUTION: The slender muscular fragment 6 is cut off from the needle cover 1 along the muscular weakened part when the pull tab 5 is clamped and is pulled toward a front end 3, by which the notch 4 is formed. The muscular fragment 6 is held coupled to the needle cover 1 at the front end 3 or a coupling section 7 near the front end 3 and, therefore, the attachment and detachment of the needle cover by clamping the muscular fragment 6 is made possible and the need for bringing the fingers, etc., into contact with the injection needle 11 is eliminated. The injection needle 11 stays put from the needle cover 1 and is, therefore, safe in the discarding when the cut off muscular fragment 6 is so formed as to be surely held in the position where the cut off muscular fragment 6 exists originally at the time of mounting the injection needle 11 on the needle cover 1 after the use.

In the conventional needle cover,
As described above, erroneous puncture or blood adhesion may cause infections such as hepatitis and AIDS, which are currently a major problem among medical staff. An object of the present invention is to prevent accidental puncture before and after the use of an injection needle and contact with blood of a patient who may possibly be contaminated when detaching the needle cover, and the detaching operation of the needle cover is safe. Another object of the present invention is to provide a needle cover that can be reliably and easily implemented.

In the present invention, the above-mentioned object is achieved by the following means. That is, a needle cover for protecting an injection needle, which has a proximal end portion opened for insertion of the injection needle and a closed distal end portion, and is provided from one end portion of both end portions of the needle cover. A strip-like weakened portion formed toward another end and a pull tab that can be gripped at least at one end of the both ends are attached, and by pulling the pull tab, the strip-like weakened portion is formed along the strip-like weakened portion. The needle cover is characterized in that a linear segment is cut off to form a slit-shaped notch coaxial with the injection needle.

By grasping and pulling the pull tab attached to one end of the needle, the streak piece extending from one end to the other end is cut out along the weakened portion formed in advance, and the needle is cut. A slit-shaped notch is formed in the cover in a direction coaxial with the injection needle. Due to this notch formed on the side of the needle cover, it becomes possible to pull out the injection needle to the side of the needle cover, and to reattach the needle cover from the side of the injection cover. It becomes possible to safely attach and detach the injection needle to the finger holding the − so that the injection needle is not accidentally punctured.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1 to 3 show a needle cover which is an embodiment of the present invention.
The perspective view and sectional drawing of are shown. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the needle cover 1 is still attached to the needle base 12 of the injection needle before the injection needle is used. Figure 2 shows pull tab 5 for use
(As shown in the drawing), a state in which the injection needle 11 is pulled out upward by grasping and pulling a projection that can be pulled and pulled by a finger or the like to form the notch 4 is shown. Needle cover
1 has an open base end portion 2 and a closed front end portion 3, and a pull tab 5 is attached to the base end portion 2. Also, the needle cover
1, a muscular weakening portion 8 is previously formed from the base end portion toward the distal end portion as shown in FIG. 1 (the muscular weakening portion is a means for facilitating cutting of the muscular fragment 6). The needle-covered portion may be formed by cutting the needle cover, or the portion to be cut off may be thinly formed. May be formed of a flexible material that can be easily cut off.) When the pull tab 5 is gripped and pulled in the distal direction, an elongated strip-shaped fragment 6 is formed from the needle cover-1 along the strip-shaped weakened portion 8. It is cut out and a notch 4 is formed. The streak piece 6 may be formed so as to be cut off to the tip portion 3 and finally cut off, but it is more preferable that it is formed so as to remain bonded at an appropriate position of the tip portion 3. It is effective. This is because the streak piece 6 is cut off from the needle cover 1 along the streak weakening portion 8, but the tip 3
Alternatively, the needle cover-1 remains attached at the connecting portion 7 near the tip, so that the needle cover-1 can be detached by grasping the streak piece 6 (or the pull tab 5).
It is not necessary to touch the injection needle with your finger. Further, when the injection needle 11 is attached to the needle cover 1 after use, if the cut-out streak piece 6 is surely held at the position where it originally existed, the injection needle does not come off from the needle cover and is discarded. Is also safe. At this time, as shown in FIG. 3, a connecting means 13 having a convex or concave shape is formed on the pull tab 5 side of the streak piece 6, and similarly the connecting means 13 is also formed on the needle base 12 of the injection needle 11.
It is more effective to form the concave or convex coupling means 14 that can be fitted into the needle cover because the needle cover is securely held by the injection needle. Separately, as shown in FIG. 4, the needle cover
If the needle cover has a taper-shaped cut in which the width is wide at the proximal end side and becomes narrower toward the distal end side, the attachment and detachment of the injection needle becomes easier.

The needle cover and the needle cover according to the present invention
By using the needle with the needle attached, the needle and the needle cover can be detached and attached safely, reliably and easily. The most important thing is that you accidentally puncture your finger with a needle,
It is possible to drastically reduce the possibility of being contaminated with blood attached to the needle, and to prevent infections such as hepatitis and AIDS.
Further, even after discarding the injection needle after use, the needle cover can be attached to the needle by grasping the pull tab of the cut-out streak piece, and the needle cover can be securely held by the injection needle. Therefore, there is no need to worry about erroneous puncture or infection due to the injection needle detached from the needle cover.
