Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve fuel efficiency and heighten the cleanliness of exhaust gas by adding fine particles of granite porphyry to an automotive fuel. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles of granite porphyry having a size of 3mum or smaller are added to a fuel in an amount of 20-0.5g per liter of the fuel. For example, the particles are mixed with an automotive fuel stored in a tank, and an excess of the particles is allowed to settle. The fuel containing a finer portion of the particles dispersed therein is filtered through a filter having an opening size of 3mum or finer. Thus, the objective fuel is obtained which, when fed to an engine, neither clogs the fuel strainer nor damage the engine or fuel injection system. The fuel does not form a sediment even when kept within the fuel tank of an automobile. Compared to a conventional automotive fuel containing only eluted components of the stone, this fuel has a higher combustion efficiency because components of the stone are burned together with the fuel without fail. There is no need of elution time because the finer particles are fed to the engine as they are.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, it has been proposed to improve combustion efficiency by adding various chemicals to automobile fuels such as gasoline and light oil to purify exhaust gas. For example, the invention described in JP-A-57-10691 is one of them, and improves combustion efficiency by adding crushed barley stone to a fuel such as gasoline.

Mineralogically, bakuhanseki belongs to granite porphyry, contains silicic acid and aluminum oxide as main components, and maintains porosity with a sponge-like structure even if it is a fairly fine powder. It is characterized by having a very high adsorptivity. Also,
It is also known that, since it contains various components, when it is added to a medium such as water or an organic solvent such as gasoline or light oil, the various components are dissolved in the solvent. It is also experimentally found that if such boiled stone is put into automobile fuel such as gasoline or light oil and left for a long time, its exact principle is not improved, but fuel consumption is improved and exhaust gas is purified. It has been confirmed. Also in the conventional technique described in the above-mentioned publication, it is described that gasoline is negatively ionized by adding barley stone to improve fuel efficiency.

By the way, in the invention of the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 57-10691, 30 to 50 g of crushed barley stone is crushed to a size of about 2 cm 3 when adding barley stone to gasoline. The boiled stones were prepared, sealed in a stainless steel rope bag, placed in a gasoline tank containing 30 to 100 liters, and left for about 30 minutes.

However, with this conventional technique, it is necessary to leave it for about 30 minutes after the addition of barley stone, and it is unavoidable that it is not practical at present. In particular, since commercially available gasoline is directly injected into the fuel tank of a car at a gas station, even if the user purchases barley stone, it is not possible to throw barley stone as large as 2 cm into the fuel tank. It is impossible. Further, even if it can be put in by some means, if the effect is not obtained unless it is left for 30 minutes, there is a problem that the car cannot be used during that time. Further, finer debris is mixed in the barley stone crushed to about 2 cm, or finer debris is generated due to traveling vibration of the vehicle while being left in gasoline. These debris escape from the stainless mesh enclosing the barley stone and are sent to the engine along with gasoline, causing clogging of the fuel strainer along the way.

On the other hand, as described above, in order to avoid the work of the user to put barley rice stones into gasoline and the problems caused thereby, it is necessary to put a mass of barley rice stones into gasoline in the gasoline manufacturing process. Can also be considered. However, even in such a case, the amount of boiled iron stone dissolved in gasoline is very small, and thus the effect of improving the fuel economy and the effect of cleaning exhaust gas of the gasoline thus obtained are not sufficient.

In addition, the barley stones that are precipitated or collected by the filter in the manufacturing process can be repeatedly used.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to improve the combustion efficiency and clean the exhaust gas by finely granulating the barley stone to 3 μm or less and adding it to the automobile fuel. In addition, since it became possible to directly disperse the finely grained barley stone in the fuel and send it to the engine, compared to the conventional automobile fuel in which only the elution component of barley stone was added to the fuel, It is surely burned with the fuel, and the combustion efficiency is further improved. In addition, because the finely granulated barley stone is sent to the engine as it is, it is not necessary to leave it for a long time to wait for the elution of the barley stone component as in the conventional technology, and the barley stone containing fuel can be consumed in a short time. In addition to being obtainable, the refined barley stone can be directly charged into the fuel tank to improve the commercially available fuel.
