【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 ガス吹き込み用の横に長い長方形の吹込
み口を設けたエアバッグと、横長円筒状のインフレータ
と、エアバッグケースとからなり、該エアバッグケース
の奥に上記のインフレータを設置し、入口側に上記のエ
アバッグを畳んで収納し、その吹込み口をエアバッグケ
ースの入口部内壁に固定したエアバッグ装置において、
上記のエアバッグが吹込み口を中心にして広げられ、吹
込み口の左右の側辺延長線から横に出る部分の上記吹込
み口側の裏面布のみを左右交互に内側に折込んで重ね、
しかるのち上記の折込み部に続く左右の裏面布および表
面布を重ねて表面布側に折込むように畳むことにより上
記吹込み口の幅とほぼ等しい幅の帯状体に形成され、こ
の帯状体が蛇腹状に畳まれていることを特徴とするエア
バッグ装置。
