During standby, the control unit 9 operates the clock unit 12. The timer 12 gives the cordless power controller 11 a cycle of intermittent power supply during standby. The cordless transmitter / receiver unit 2 is supplied with power at a cycle as shown in FIG. 2A to perform a receiving operation, and after confirming whether there is a call from the master unit, the power is turned off again. As a result, it is possible to reduce power consumption as compared with the case of always operating.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional cellular / cordless composite type portable radio telephone device, the power supply to the cordless transmitter / receiver 2 during stand-by is intermittently performed to achieve low power consumption. Yes, but
When you are in the cordless area, you need to recognize the incoming call from the public line to the cordless base unit as soon as possible, so you need to shorten the intermittent cycle as much as possible, and increase the effect of low power consumption by extending the cycle. I can't. In particular, a combined cellular / cordless type mobile wireless telephone device often goes out of the cordless area because it is also used as a cellular phone, but when it is out of the cordless area, a cordless incoming call cannot be received. However, there is a problem in that it is necessary to always operate in this cycle in case of returning to the cordless area, and power is wasted.

According to the present invention, in the above structure, the power source of the cordless radio signal receiving means is controlled in the first cycle when in the cordless area during standby, but when the cordless area is out of the cordless area, the cordless area identifying means operates. When this is detected, the cycle of the clock means is switched to the second cycle. Since the power-off time in the second cycle is longer than that in the first cycle, lower power consumption can be achieved. When returning to the cordless area again, the cordless area identification means detects this and switches the cycle of the clock means to the first cycle. Therefore, when outside the cordless area, the power consumption is reduced in the second cycle, and when the area is in the cordless area, the receiving operation is frequently performed in the first cycle, so that an incoming call can be quickly answered.
