Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a display at an uniform luminance by holding a linear cathode and vibration inhibit line laid with a space at the same potential. CONSTITUTION:A high resistance conductive film 2 is provided on the inside of a display surface 1 of soda glass or the like. Spring metal pieces 5 are delivered from the support electrodes 4a, 4b of a linear cathode 3 and connected to the conductive film 2. Thus, a vibration inhibit line 6 can be regularly held at the same potential as the linear cathode just under. The linear cathode 3 never make contact with the vibration inhibit line even if heated to a high temperature, causing no temperature reduction by conduction.
