[Prior Art] As shown in FIG. 1, a weather strip 1 is attached to a door opening on the side of an automobile body. This weather strip 1 is a hollow extrusion molded product, and molded end portions 1A, 1B are joined to both ends of the weather strip 1. As shown in FIG. 2, these end portions 1A, 1B have holes provided therein. 10
It is fixed to the body panel 2 with a clip or the like. Note that the hollow general portion is held by a retainer or the like provided along the door opening. When the door is closed, the weather strip 1 is pressed against the front and rear upper ends of the door body 3 and the outer periphery of the door glass 4 to perform a sealing action.

FIG. 6 shows the back side of the terminal portion of a conventional weather strip, and a plurality of hollowed out portions 11 are formed on the back side. These hollowed out parts 11 are for giving flexibility to the end part, and each hollowed out part 11 is separated from each other by a partition wall 13 so that it does not spread laterally when pressed by a door. .

[Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention] By the way, water that enters the general part of the weather strip and flows down during rain or car washing, or water that enters the terminal section through the gap between the terminal section and the body panel, is dangerous. It accumulates in the cutout part 11. This standing water causes rust on the body panels. Also, when the terminal part is pressed by the door when the door is closed, each hollowed out part 11
The water inside the vehicle may become compressed, causing abnormal noises, or water may gush out from the gap between the terminal and the body panel and scatter.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a terminal structure of a weather strip that allows water to be removed from the hollowed out portion 11 well and does not generate abnormal noise or scatter water, thereby solving the above-mentioned conventional problems. It is.

[Means for solving the problem] The present invention is based on FIG. 3 and FIG.
As illustrated in the figure, terminal section 1A (same as 1B)
A notch 12 having an inclined surface 120 extending downward from the lower edge of the bottom surface of the hollowed out part 11 and toward the surface of the partition wall is formed in the partition wall 13 at the bottom of each hollowed out part 11 formed on the back surface of the partition wall. Of course, this inclined surface 120 needs to be inclined downward from the horizontal with the terminal parts 1A and 1B fixed to the body panel.

[Operation and Effect] Water entering each hollowed out portion 11 is guided downward by the notch 12. This water then enters the lower hollowed out portion 11 through the gap that inevitably exists between the surface of the partition wall 13 and the surface of the body panel, flows down one after another, and is finally expelled outside the terminal portion.

Note that water drainage can also be facilitated by completely cutting out a portion of the partition wall 13 to allow the upper and lower hollowed out portions 11 to communicate with each other. However, if the partition wall 13 is cut off to the left and right, when the end portion is pressed by a door, the cut portion will extend left and right, and the entire end portion will expand left and right, which is undesirable.
In the present invention, only a portion of the partition wall 11 is cut out, so that such expansion of the end portion does not occur.

A notch 12 is formed below the upper hollowed out part 11 at a position near the center of the terminal part. This notch 12 has an inclined surface 120 that extends downward from the lower edge of the bottom surface of the hollowed out portion 11 and toward the surface of the partition wall 13 . The above-mentioned notch 1 is provided on the upper edge of the middle hollowed out part 11.
The recessed portion 14 is formed in such a manner as to avoid 2. As a result, the vertical width of the partition wall 13 is substantially constant. Similarly, the middle and lower cutout portions 11 are provided with a notch 12 at the bottom thereof, and a recessed portion 14 is formed at the top. Note that only the portion of the partition wall 13 where the hole 10 for fixing the clip is provided is made wider. Moreover, each inclined surface 120 is an inclined surface facing downward from the horizontal when the terminal portion is fixed.

In the terminal portions 1A and 1B configured as described above, water in the upper hollow portion 11 is guided by the notch 12 and flows down to reach the surface of the partition wall 13. Since there is a slight gap between the surface of the partition wall 13 and the body panel at least when the door is opened, water passes through the gap and enters the hollowed out part 11 in the middle level, and in the same way, it flows into the hollowed out part 11 in the lower level. To enter the,
It is removed from the terminal section through a gap between the back surface of the terminal section and the body panel.

The vertical width of the partition wall 13, particularly the width of the surface of the partition wall in contact with the body panel, must be a predetermined width so that the end portion will not be crushed when pressed by the door. Although the cutout 12 may be formed over the entire lower edge of the hollowed-out portion 11, in this case, the partition wall 13 becomes thicker than necessary on the surface side of the end portion. Therefore, as in the embodiment, the notch 12 is formed in a part of the partition wall 13, and the other parts are made to have a uniform thickness on the front and back sides of the terminal part, and the above-mentioned hollow part in the lower stage opposite to the notch 12 is formed. It is more desirable to have a structure in which the recessed portion 14 is formed.

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment, in which the lower edge 110 of each hollowed out portion 11 is an inclined edge that descends toward the notch 12. As shown in FIG. Thereby, water in the hollowed out portion 11 is guided to the notch 12 more effectively.

As explained above, the weather strip of the present invention can effectively remove water from the back side of the terminal part, preventing rust from forming on the body panel due to water pooling in the hollowed out part.
No abnormal noise or water splashing occurs when the door is closed.
