Steel tabs made of the same material as the base metal were used for the end tabs, but since preparation, installation, removal and finishing after welding are time-consuming and labor-intensive, recently steel tabs have been replaced with steel tabs that are easy to manufacture and easy to install and remove. Refractory tabs, which are quick and easy to make, have come into widespread use.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention is a refractory end tab that has features such as easy installation and removal of the end dub and easy finishing work, and includes the welding start and end portions within the welded structure in order to eliminate welding defects at the end. The present invention is made of solid flux or high-melting point ceramics, and has a recessed part on one or both sides of the welding line having a shape similar to that of the welding line of the steel material to be welded and having a length of 5 mm or more from the starting end to the end face. The object of the present invention is to provide an end tab for welding, characterized in that part or all of the surface of the recess is covered with a thin steel plate.

This is because the wall surface of the tab can be easily melted to some extent when welding work is extended to the tab part, and this makes it possible to improve the groove angle, groove distance, and machining accuracy of the actual structure. This is because it can sufficiently follow even slight changes in . Furthermore, if the material is made of a low melting point material and has been dried or fired, the tab will easily break after welding, and workability will be improved. However, even if high melting point ceramics such as cordierite and steatite are used as the molding material, the function of the end tab of the present invention remains the same. These materials are mixed with a binder, molded, and manufactured through drying, firing, or sintering processes.

This tab is flat or has a slight concave surface, but since this tab is characterized by placing the welding start and end completely outside the width of the base material, when performing normal arc welding,
5 mm or more, 10 mm or more is required.
