[Prior art] Conventionally, for veneers with relatively short lengths perpendicular to the fibers, reinforcing materials such as paper tape or hot-melt resin-impregnated threads are pasted to the veneers that are in close contact with each other to create a continuous shape. A bonded veneer was formed. In addition, in the case of a continuous veneer with a long direction perpendicular to the fibers, a reinforcing material is attached at least to the end of the veneer in the fiber direction,
By increasing the strength of the veneer, breakage of the veneer during veneer processing or veneer transportation is prevented. Then, the veneer to which the reinforcing plate is attached as described above is cut into the required length in the direction perpendicular to the fibers depending on the size of the plywood, or any length using a cutting device having a cutting blade that moves up and down or rotates. It is cut and separated along with the reinforcing material.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, the above-mentioned conventional cutting device cuts the veneer together with the reinforcing material using only the vertically movable or rotating cutting blade, so the cutting blade wears out and the cutting quality becomes poor. When the veneer becomes old, it is possible to cut the veneer as it cracks as the cutting blade enters, but the reinforcing material sag and deform when the cutting blade acts on it.
It was not possible to cut it reliably. For this reason,
Since the cut veneers are connected to each other by reinforcing materials, these veneers cannot be processed in the next process (for example, a deposition process), causing trouble. As a result, when carrying the veneer to the next process, it was necessary to temporarily stop the apparatus and cut the reinforcing material, resulting in poor veneer processing efficiency.

[Purpose of the invention] In view of the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, the purpose of the invention is to
It is an object of the present invention to provide a veneer cutting device that can reliably cut a reinforcing material together with a veneer, separate the veneers, and improve the efficiency of manufacturing plywood.

[Means for Solving the Problems] Therefore, the present invention provides a cutting device that cuts a veneer to which a reinforcing material is attached in a direction perpendicular to the fibers. A cutting blade that cuts in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction, and an elastic member that presses the reinforcing material toward the veneer on both the upper and lower sides of the cutting blade in the conveying direction when the cutting blade cuts the veneer. It is characterized by having the following.

[Function of the device] Since the present invention is configured as described above, when cutting a veneer to which the reinforcing material is pasted in a direction perpendicular to the fibers, the upper side of the cutting blade in the conveying direction is cut by the elastic member. The reinforcing material attached to the veneer located on the lower side is pressed against the veneer while the cutting blade acts on the reinforcing material. Therefore, when cutting the reinforcing material with the cutting blade, it is possible to control the displacement of the reinforcing material relative to the veneer and cut under tension, and even if the cutting blade becomes slightly worn and becomes dull, It is possible to reliably cut the reinforcing material that keeps the veneers in a continuous state together with the veneers, and to cut and separate the veneers from each other.

A carry-in conveyor 7 and a carry-out conveyor 9 are arranged on the upper and lower sides of the cutting device 1 in the conveyance direction, respectively. An anvil roll 11 is rotatably supported between frames (not shown) of the cutting device 1, and a drive motor (not shown) is connected to the anvil roll 11. As the drive motor is driven, the anvil roll 11 is continuously rotated in the clockwise direction shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in substantially synchronization with the carry-in conveyor 7 and the carry-out conveyor 9. A rotating shaft 13 is rotatably supported between the frames, and a clutch brake and a drive motor (not shown) are connected to the rotating shaft 13. After the front end of the veneer 5 is detected by a veneer detector (not shown) provided on the input side of the rotating shaft 13, and after the veneer 5 is cut to a required length in the direction perpendicular to the fibers, The clutch brake is operated at a timing delayed by the corresponding time or number of pulses, and the drive motor is driven. An arm 15 is integrally formed on a part of the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 13 so as to extend over almost the entire axial direction and to face in the radial direction. A rotating shaft 1 is provided at the tip of the arm 15.
A cutting blade 17 having a blade over almost the entire axial direction of the veneer 3, and a pair of pressing bodies attached to sandwich the cutting blade 17 at positions corresponding to the adhesive tape 3 stuck to the veneer 5. 19 and 21 are removably attached with bolts 23. The third diagram shows the cutting state of the adhesive tape 3 and the veneer 5.
In the figure, a veneer 5 is attached with adhesive tape 3 at both ends in the fiber direction as driven by an incoming conveyor 7.
When the leading edge of the detector passes the single plate detector, a timer circuit (not shown) in the controller is activated. Then, as the veneer 5 is transported by the carry-in conveyor 7, the anvil roll 11, and the carry-out conveyor 9, the timer circuit sets a count value (time) corresponding to the required length of the veneer 5 to be cut in the direction perpendicular to the fibers. When reached, the rotating shaft 13 is rotated counterclockwise as shown in FIG. When the cutting blade 17 and the pressing bodies 19, 21 reach the lowest point shown in FIG. The sponge 31 is brought into pressure contact with the lower side in the conveying direction and the upper side in the conveying direction of the veneer 5 with the cutting blade 17 at the center, and its elastic force presses the adhesive tape 3 toward the veneer 5 side. As a result, the adhesive tape 3 is less likely to sag and can be kept in a tensioned state, and even if the cutting blade 17 has somewhat decreased its sharpness due to wear, the veneer 5 and the veneer 5 can be kept in a continuous state. It is possible to reliably cut the adhesive tape 3 held by the veneers 5 and reliably separate the veneers 5 from each other. Incidentally, since curved surfaces 29a and 31a are formed on the rotational direction side of the sponge 29 and the counter-rotational direction side of the sponge 31, respectively, when the sponge 29 and the veneer 5 start contacting each other, and when the sponge 31 and the veneer When the contact with the veneer 5 is released, the pressing force of these sponges 29 and 31 against the veneer 5 is reduced to avoid breakage of the veneer 5.

In this way, in this embodiment, when cutting the veneer 5 to which the adhesive tape 3 is attached, the adhesive tape 3 on the lower side in the conveying direction centering on the cutting blade 17 is cut by the sponge 2.
9, and because the cutting blade 17 acts on the adhesive tape 3 while pressing the adhesive tape 3 on the upper side in the conveying direction toward the veneer 5 side with the sponge 31, the adhesive tape 3 is not slackened due to the cutting action of the cutting blade 17. This allows the adhesive tape 3 to be cut reliably. This makes it possible to reliably cut and separate the veneer 5 to which the adhesive tape 3 is attached.

In the above description, the cutting device 1 is of a rotary type in which the cutting blade 17 is attached to the arm 15 of the rotating shaft 13, but the cutting device 1 may be of an elevating type. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, a cutting blade 45 is provided above the anvil roll 41 and is moved up and down by the operation of an air cylinder 43, and air cylinders 47 are operated on the lower side and the upper side of the cutting blade 45 in the conveying direction. Accordingly, the cutting device 1 is constructed by providing elastic members 49 and 51, respectively, which move up and down in substantially synchronization with the cutting blade 45. As the anvil roll 41 rotates, when the cut point of the veneer 5 to which the adhesive tape 3 is attached is located on the anvil roll 41, the elastic members 49, 51 and the cutting blade 45 are moved down almost synchronously. Ru. At this time, prior to the cutting action of the cutting blade 45 on the veneer 5, the elastic members 49 and 51 press the adhesive tape 3 located on the lower side and the upper side of the cutting blade 45 in the conveying direction to the veneer 5, and then the cutting blade When cutting the adhesive tape 3 using the veneer 45, the veneer 5 is cut while the adhesive tape 3 is being cut in a taut state, avoiding slack in the adhesive tape 3.
