Description

The present invention relates to scaffolding boards in scaffolding structures, in particular scaffolding boards equipped with "internal claw" claw fittings, and which are provided with eave plate sections that close the gaps that occur between scaffolding boards arranged opposite each other in the longitudinal direction.

Traditionally, temporary scaffolding is a scaffolding structure constructed by fastening cross members to spaced apart supports, with scaffolding boards erected on a pair of spaced apart cross members, forming a work floor that workers can move between and within their workspace.

The scaffolding board has a pair of claw fittings protruding from the side frame at both longitudinal ends of the scaffolding board main body that constitutes the floorboard section, and is erected between a pair of cross members by mounting the hook portions of the claw fittings to the cross members.

Since the work floor is formed to extend long along the exterior wall of a building or the like, scaffolding boards are erected on pairs of adjacent cross members in accordance with the spacing between the numerous cross members that are spaced apart, and the scaffolding boards are connected in the longitudinal direction. At this time, a gap is created between the scaffolding boards that are placed opposite each other via a single cross member.

However, such gaps can be dangerous as they can cause jigs and other small items to fall to the ground, so it is preferable to seal them as much as possible.

For this reason, scaffolding boards that are provided with means for sealing the gaps have been proposed.

Regarding temporary scaffolding structures and scaffolding boards, standard A (tentative name) products as shown in Figure 1 (A) are currently being used on-site, but the applicant is also currently developing standard B (tentative name) products as shown in Figure 1 (B).

The scaffolding structure has a fixing means 2 (12) made of a flange member with a wedge hole fixed to a support 1 (11), and a connecting means 4 (14) made of a wedge fastening means or the like that is attached and fixed to the fixing means 2 (12) at both ends of a cross member 3 (13). The scaffolding board 5 (15) is composed of a scaffolding board main body 8 (18) that forms a side frame 7 (17) including a side wall portion on both sides of the width of the floor board 6 (16), a total of four claw fittings 9 (19) located at both ends in the longitudinal direction and protruding from the side frame portions 7, 7 (17, 17), and a total of two end covers 10 (20) provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the scaffolding board main body 8 (18).

(規格A)
(Standard A)
A standard A scaffolding structure is designed based on a scaffolding board with a width of 240 mm, and the spacing WA (spacing in the gable direction of the scaffolding board) between the posts 1, 1 connected by a cross member 3 is designed in units of 360 mm in the case of the present applicant. In Fig. 1(A), the spacing WA between the posts 1, 1 is set to 360 mm, and they are connected by a cross member 3 with a length designed accordingly.

The scaffolding boards 5 are available in two types: standard width (490 mm width) and half width (240 mm width), and Figure 1 (A) shows the half width scaffolding board.

The scaffolding board 5 has claw fittings 9, 9 with hook portions protruding from both sides in the width direction at the end of the scaffolding board main body 8. The claw fittings 9, 9 are offset from a base portion fixed to the side frame portion of the scaffolding board 5 toward one direction in the width direction of the floor board portion 6 via a bent portion. Therefore, in the case of standard A, one claw fitting 9 is offset so that the hook portion is positioned inside the floor board portion 6, while the other claw fitting 9 is offset so that the hook portion is positioned outside the floor board portion 6, and is configured as a claw fitting of the so-called "external claw type".

The distance wa between the hook portions of the pair of claw fittings 9, 9 is set to be approximately equal to the width dimension of the scaffolding board main body 8, and is configured so that when the pair of scaffolding boards 5, 5 are arranged opposite each other via the cross member 3, the hook portions of the mutually opposing claw fittings 9 can be arranged side by side and mounted on the cross member 3. In other words, a total of four hook portions of the claw fittings 9, each of which has two claw fittings 9, 9 facing each other, are mounted on the cross member 3.

(Standard B)
The scaffolding structure of standard B is designed based on the imperial (inch) system, and the spacing WB (spacing in the gable direction of the scaffolding board) between the posts 11, 11 connected by the cross member 13 is designed in units of 305 mm. In Fig. 1(B) , the spacing WB between the posts 11, 11 is set to 305 mm, and the posts are connected by the cross member 13 of a length designed accordingly.

The scaffolding board 15 is formed according to the dimensions of Standard A, and two types are available: a standard width scaffolding board (width dimension 490 mm) and a half-width scaffolding board (width dimension 240 mm). Figure 1 (B) shows a half-width scaffolding board.

The scaffolding board 15 has claw fittings 19, 19 with hook portions protruding from both sides in the width direction at the end of the scaffolding board main body portion 18. The claw fittings 19, 19 are offset from a base portion fixed to the side frame portion 17 of the scaffolding board 15 toward the inward direction in the width direction of the floor board portion 16 via a bent portion, that is, the hook portions of the pair of claw fittings 19, 19 are both offset so as to be located inside the floor board portion 6, and are configured as claw fittings of the so-called "inner claw type". Details of this point will be described later in conjunction with the embodiment of the present invention.

The distance wb between the hook portions of the pair of claw fittings 19, 19 is designed to be smaller than the width dimension of the scaffolding board main body 18, and is configured so that when the pair of scaffolding boards 15, 15 are arranged opposite each other via the cross member 13, the hook portions of the mutually opposing claw fittings 19 can be arranged side by side and mounted on the cross member 13. In other words, the hook portions of a total of four claw fittings 19, each consisting of two "internal claw type" claw fittings 19, 19 facing each other, are mounted on the cross member 13.

(Incompatibility)
As a result of the above, in the case of a scaffolding structure constructed based on standard B, that is, when the spacing dimension of the posts 11, 11 connected by a cross member 13 is the above-mentioned spacing WB (305 mm), the claw fittings 19 of the "internal claw type" of the scaffolding board 15 can be mounted on the cross member 13 as shown in Figure 1 (B), but the claw fittings 9 of the "external claw type" of the scaffolding board 5 formed based on standard A cannot be mounted on the cross member 13 as shown in Figure 1 (C).

As shown in Figure 1 (C), even if an attempt is made to mount a scaffolding board 5 used in standard A on a cross member 13 that connects posts 11, 11 constructed based on standard B, the hook portion of the claw fitting 9, which is of the "external claw type," is interfered with by the wedge member provided on the connecting means 14 of the cross member 13 and the flange member that constitutes the fixing means 12 of the post 11, and therefore the hook portion cannot be properly engaged and fixed.

Therefore, in a scaffolding structure constructed based on Standard B, only scaffolding boards 15 equipped with claw fittings 19 constructed using the "internal claw method" as described above can be mounted on the cross members 13.

(Problem to be solved by the present invention)
As described above with regard to the background art, when connecting scaffolding boards in the longitudinal direction of a scaffolding structure, there is a demand for sealing the gaps that arise between scaffolding boards arranged opposite each other via a single cross member, and a scaffolding board provided with a means for sealing the gaps has been proposed, as shown in Patent Document 1.

However, according to the inventor's knowledge, the conventional technology for sealing gaps is related to scaffolding boards equipped with claw fittings of the "external claw type," and there is a problem in that such conventional technology is difficult to apply to scaffolding boards equipped with claw fittings of the "internal claw type."

The means for sealing the gap is preferably constructed of a eaves plate portion extending from the end cover 20 of the scaffolding board 15 toward the space above the cross member 13, but as mentioned above, the pair of claw fittings 19, 19 that use the "internal claw method" are displaced so that the hook portion is positioned inside the floor board portion 6 via the bent portion, making it difficult to position the end cover 20 between them and attach it to the end of the scaffolding board main body portion 18.

In this regard, one idea is to fix the "internal claw type" claw fittings to the end cover 20 and attach the end cover 20 with the integrated claw fittings to the end of the scaffold board main body 18, which makes it possible to easily attach the end cover to the end of the scaffold board main body. However, since the claw fittings 19 must be designed to ensure safety by stably and firmly supporting the scaffold board 15, it is not preferable to attach them to the end cover.

Therefore, even in the case of the "internal claw system," it is desirable for the claw fittings 19 to be firmly fixed to the side frame 17 of the scaffold board main body 18, and with this configuration, it is preferable to provide the end cover 20 with a means for sealing the gap, and furthermore to configure the end cover 20 so that it can be easily attached to the end of the scaffold board main body 18.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a scaffolding board that makes it possible to realize such a preferable configuration.

The present invention has been configured as a means for providing a scaffolding board that is erected on a pair of spaced-apart cross members in a scaffolding structure in which cross members are fixed to spaced-apart supports, the scaffolding board being composed of a scaffolding board main body portion having side frame portions formed on both sides in the width direction of the floor board portion, a pair of claw fittings located at both longitudinal ends and protruding from the side frame portions, and end covers provided on both longitudinal ends of the scaffolding board main body portion, the claw fittings being each biased from a base portion fixed to the inside of the side frame portion of the scaffolding board main body portion to the width direction inward of the floor board portion via a bent portion, and each having a hook portion that protrudes in the longitudinal direction from both longitudinal ends of the scaffolding board main body portion together with the bent portion, the hook portion being configured to be fixed to the The end cover is configured to be mounted on a cross member, and includes an upper plate portion and a lower plate portion that cover the longitudinal end portion of the scaffold board main body portion from above and below, and a eaves plate portion that is located between a pair of claw fittings provided at the longitudinal end portion and covers from above a part of the cross member on which the hook portion is mounted, and is provided with a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion that are located on both sides of the eaves plate portion and cross the longitudinal end portion of the scaffold board main body portion to connect the upper plate portion and the lower plate portion, and a first opening that is deep toward the first connecting portion is formed between the first ends of the upper plate portion and the lower plate portion that face the first claw fitting, and a second opening that is shallow toward the second connecting portion (34B) is formed between the second ends of the upper plate portion and the lower plate portion that face the second claw fitting.

In a preferred embodiment, a pair of first and second claw fittings on both sides of the longitudinal end of the scaffolding board main body are formed so that, with respect to the offset length of the bent portion in which the hook portion is offset from the base, the offset length of the bent portion of the first claw fitting is large and the offset length of the bent portion of the second claw fitting is small, and a gap is formed between at least the bent portion of the first claw fitting and the end of the scaffolding board main body, and the upper and lower plate portions of the end cover are connected by a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion, and both ends of the upper and lower plate portions form a first opening with a deep depth toward the first connecting portion between the first ends of the upper and lower plate portions facing the first claw fitting, and the upper plate portion facing the second claw fitting and a second opening with a shallow depth toward the second connecting part is formed between the second end of the lower plate part, and (A) when the first connecting part is inserted into the gap, the second connecting part is configured to be in a position away from the bent part of the second claw fitting, and (B) when the end cover is moved in a position aligned with the end of the scaffolding board main body part and the first connecting part is removed from the gap, the second connecting part is in close proximity to the bent part of the second claw fitting, the first end of the upper plate part is in close proximity to the bent part of the first claw fitting, and the second end of the upper plate part is in close proximity to the bent part of the second claw fitting, and the end cover is fixed to the scaffolding board main body part at the position (B).

The eaves plate portion of the end cover extends flush from the upper plate portion and is supported by connecting a support plate portion extending diagonally upward from the lower plate portion to the vicinity of the tip of the eaves plate portion, and the hook portion of the claw fitting is formed with an inclined edge that slopes diagonally downward from the upper part of the tip portion, and it is preferable that when the hook portions of the claw fittings of scaffolding boards arranged opposite each other are mounted on a single cross member, the inclined edge of the hook portion on one scaffolding board and the support plate portion of the end cover on the other scaffolding board are arranged opposite each other.

A drop lock is provided on the hook of each claw fitting, and the drop lock is provided on the side of the hook part via a pin so that it can move up and down and swing freely. It is configured so that it can be held in the unlocked position when the worker lifts it with his fingertips, and when it is abutted by a cross member entering the hook part from the unlocked position, it moves down and automatically holds the locked position. The end covers are located on both sides of the eaves plate part and are configured to form an opening through which the worker's fingers can be inserted toward the drop lock of at least one of the claw fittings.

According to the present invention, in a scaffolding board 15 provided with claw fittings 19, 19 of the "internal claw type," an end cover 20 with a eaves plate portion 33 can be easily attached to the scaffolding board main body portion 18 between the claw fittings 19, 19, making it possible to provide a scaffolding board 15 that meets the conventional demand for sealing gaps.

A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

(Examples of scaffold constructs)
The present invention is a temporary scaffolding structure based on the standard B shown in FIG. 1(B) above, and is constructed by connecting the posts 11, 11 with cross members 13 and mounting "internal claw type" claw fittings 19 on scaffolding boards 15 to a pair of spaced-apart cross members 13, and erecting the scaffolding structure. An example of the scaffolding structure is shown in FIG. 2.

In FIG. 2, cross member 13a connects the pillars erected with a spacing of WB (305 mm). Cross member 13b connects the pillars erected with a spacing of WB x 2 (610 mm). Cross member 13c connects the pillars erected with a spacing of WB x 3 (the standard specifies a spacing of 914 mm, not 915 mm).

The scaffold board 15 is a half-width (240 mm width) scaffold board 15a as described above, and a standard-width (490 mm width) scaffold board 15b, which are used alone or in combination. The standard-width scaffold board 15b is constructed by arranging two scaffold board main bodies 18 used in the half-width scaffold board 15a side by side with a gap (10 mm) between them, and connecting and fixing them to each other with horizontal connecting fittings (not shown).

Both the half-width scaffolding board 15a and the standard-width scaffolding board 15b have "internal claw type" claw fittings 19, 19 protruding from both ends in the width direction, and the hook portion of the claw fittings 19 is mounted on the cross member 13.

In the illustrated example, one half-width scaffolding board 15a is installed between cross members 13a and 13c. Two half-width scaffolding boards 15a, 15a are installed side by side between cross members 13b and 13c. Continuing with this, one standard-width scaffolding board 15b is mounted on cross member 13b, and one half-width scaffolding board 15a and one standard-width scaffolding board 15b are mounted side by side on cross member 13c. The pillars facing the exterior wall of the building are connected by a long connecting member 21, and the pillars on the opposite side (the side facing the exterior space) are provided with handrail materials 22 such as leading handrails.

(Internal claw fittings)
3 to 5 show an "internal claw type" claw fitting 19 fixed to the scaffolding board 15.

As shown in Figure 3, the scaffold board main body 18 of the scaffold board 15 has side frame portions 17, 17 formed on both sides in the width direction of the plate-shaped floor board portion 16, and in the illustrated example, the side frame portion 17 has a side wall portion 17a bent from the side edge of the floor board portion 16 and a bent wall portion 17b bent from the side wall portion 17a to the underside of the floor board portion 16.

As shown in Figures 3 and 4, each of the pair of claw fittings 19 has a base 19a fixed to the inside of the side wall portion 17a via a rivet or other fastener 23, a bent portion 19b bent from the base 19a toward the inside of the floor plate portion 16 in the width direction, and a hook portion 19c protruding from the bent portion 19b from the edge of the floor plate portion 16 in a state approximately parallel to the base 19a, and a drop lock 24 is provided on the hook portion 19c. As a result, when the pair of claw fittings are fixed to the scaffolding board 15, the bent portions 19b, 19b are opposed to each other from the bases 19a, 19a, and the hook portions 19c, 19c are offset toward the inside of the width direction of the floor plate portion 16 to form an "inner claw type" claw fitting.

In this case, a pair of claw fittings constitute the first claw fitting 19A and the second claw fitting 19B, and the deviation length of the bent portion 19b, which is obtained by displacing the hook portion 19c from the base portion 19a, is formed so that the deviation length t1 of the bent portion 19b in the first claw fitting 19A and the deviation length t2 of the bent portion 19b in the second claw fitting 19B are t1 > t2.

A gap s1 is formed at least between the bent portion 19b of the first claw fitting 19A and the end of the scaffolding main body 18 (the end edge of the floor board 16 and the bent wall 17b facing the bent portion 19b). In the illustrated embodiment, a gap s2 is also formed between the bent portion 19b of the second claw fitting 19B and the end of the scaffolding main body 18.

As shown in FIG. 5, the hook portion 19c has a notch 25 that opens downward so as to embrace the cross member 13 from above, and is provided with a rear jaw 26 that is connected to the bent portion 19b and a front jaw 27 at the tip side, sandwiching the notch 25, and the drop lock 24 is provided on the side of the rear jaw 26. The front surface of the front jaw 27 has an inclined edge 28 that slopes diagonally downward from the top.

(Falling lock)
The drop lock 24 has a driven part 24a facing the upper side of the cutout portion 25 and a lock part 24b facing the lower side, and is attached so as to be freely movable by inserting two pins 29a, 29b provided on the rear jaw portion 26 into the guide window hole 30 of the drop lock 24.

As shown in the figure, the guide window hole 30 has a vertical passage 30a extending in the vertical direction, an upper horizontal passage 30b that bends from the upper end of the vertical passage 30a and extends above the cutout portion 25 (diagonally leftward in the figure), and a lower horizontal passage 30c that bends from the lower end of the vertical passage 30a and extends in the opposite direction to the upper horizontal passage 30b.

As shown in Figures 5(A) and (B), the drop lock 24 maintains a fixed position P1 when the lower pin 29b is positioned at the end of the lower horizontal passage 30c and the upper pin 29a is positioned at the bend between the vertical passage 30a and the upper horizontal passage 30b.

In this fixed position P1, the drop lock 24 can temporarily place the scaffolding board 15 by placing the locking portion 24b on the cross member 13 as shown in FIG. 5(A). When the locking portion 24b bears the weight of the scaffolding board 15, the drop lock 24 generates a moment in the clockwise direction as shown, with the lower pin 29b as the fulcrum, but the bent portion of the vertical passage 30a and the upper horizontal passage 30b is received by the upper pin 29a abutting against it, thereby maintaining the fixed position P1.

When the scaffolding board 15 is lifted and the worker moves the drop lock 24, which is in the fixed position P1, with his fingertips or the like to position the lower pin 29b at the bent portion between the vertical passage 30a and the lower horizontal passage 30c, as shown in Figures 5(C) and (D), the drop lock 24, while suspended by the upper pin 29a, generates a moment in the counterclockwise direction as shown in the figure due to the weight of the driven part 24a, causing the driven part 24a to enter the notch 25 and the lock part 24b to retreat from the notch 25, resulting in an unlocked position P2. The moment is received by the bent corners of the upper horizontal passage 30b and the vertical passage 30a abutting against the upper pin 29a, and is received by the bent corners of the lower horizontal passage 30c and the vertical passage 30a abutting against the lower pin 29b, thereby maintaining the unlocked position P2.

As shown in Figures 5(E) and (F), when the notch 25 of the hook portion 19c faces the cross member 13 from above and is lowered, the cross member 13 entering the notch 25 abuts the driven portion 24a of the drop lock 24 and is pushed as shown by the arrow. As a result, the drop lock 24 is rotated from the unlocked position P2 while receiving the upper pin 29a in the upper horizontal passage 30b. As this rotation progresses, as shown in Figure 5(F), when the position of the upper horizontal passage 30b is changed to a diagonally upward position, the upper pin 29a is directed toward the end of the upper horizontal passage 30b and the lower pin 29b is directed toward the top of the vertical passage 30a, so that the drop lock 24 descends under its own weight.

As a result, as shown in Figures 5(G) and (H), the drop lock 24 rotates while receiving a clockwise moment due to its own weight, with the end of the upper horizontal passage 30b suspended by the upper pin 29a, causing the driven part 24a to retreat from the notch 25 and the lock part 24b to advance toward the notch 25. This causes the lock part 24b to embrace and lock the horizontal member 13 from below. At this time, because the lower pin 29b is clamped by the vertical passage 30a, the drop lock 24 is unable to rotate and maintains the locking position P3 in which the horizontal member 13 is locked.

In this way, the drop lock 24 is configured to move downward and automatically maintain the locking position P3 when it is abutted by the cross member 13 entering the cutout portion 25 from the unlocked position P2.

(End cover)
As shown in Figure 6, end covers 20 are attached to both longitudinal ends of the scaffolding board main body 18, which is provided with a pair of claw fittings 19A, 19B of the above-mentioned "internal claw type," thereby providing the scaffolding board 15.

7, the end cover 20 includes an upper plate portion 31 and a lower plate portion 32 that cover the longitudinal end of the scaffolding board main body portion 18 from above and below, a eaves plate portion 33 that is located between the first claw fitting 19A and the second claw fitting 19B provided at the longitudinal end and covers the space above the cross member 13 on which the hook portion 19c is mounted from above, and a pair of first connecting portions 34A and second connecting portions 34B that connect the upper plate portion 31 and the lower plate portion 32 at positions close to the bent portions 19b and 19b of the first claw fitting 19A and the second claw fitting 19B, respectively. As in the illustrated embodiment, the first and second connecting portions 34A and 34B are preferably configured to cover the end faces of the longitudinal ends of the scaffolding board main body portion 18 with metal plates, and therefore, hereinafter, they are referred to as the first and second connecting plate portions 34A and 34B, but it should be understood that they do not necessarily have to be plate-shaped. In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, the first connecting plate portion 34A and the second connecting plate portion 34B are shown as being separate from each other, but the two plate portions may be integrally connected to each other and made of a single plate-shaped material.

In the illustrated embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7(C), the end cover 20 is formed by bending a single metal plate. In the unfolded state before folding, the upper plate portion 31 and the lower plate portion 32 are arranged opposite each other, the eaves plate portion 33 is extended from the upper plate portion 31 in a flush state, and the folded upright wall portion 35 is extended from the lower plate portion 32 across the entire width of the lower plate portion 32 via a folding line M1. A support plate portion 36 is provided that connects the folded upright wall portion 35 and the eaves plate portion 33 to each other via a folding line M2, and the connecting plate portions 34A and 34B are protruding from the folded upright wall portion 35 on both sides of the support plate portion 36. The support plate portion 36 forms a superimposed plate portion 37 that is superimposed on the eaves plate portion 33 via a folding line M3 that is parallel to the folding line M2.

Then, one metal plate is folded along the fold line M2 provided on the eaves plate portion 33 of the upper plate portion 31 to overlap the overlapping plate portion 37 on the underside of the eaves plate portion 33, and the support plate portion 36 is inclined at an acute angle to the eaves plate portion 33 by folding the fold line M3 from the overlapping plate portion 37, and further, the folded upright wall portion 35 and the lower plate portion 32 are folded along the fold line M1 to arrange the lower plate portion 32 parallel to and opposite the upper plate portion 31, thereby forming the end cover 20. At this time, the support plate portion 36 is integrally connected to the overlapping plate portion 37 in a state where it extends obliquely upward from the folded upright wall portion 35, and the connecting plate portions 34A and 34B are fixed by welding or the like with their tips abutted against the underside of the upper plate portion 31.

The first connecting plate portion 34A and the second connecting plate portion 34B, which face the first hook fitting 19A and the second hook fitting 19B, respectively, are formed so that the first connecting plate portion 34A is narrow and the second connecting plate portion 34B is wide in terms of width. The ends of the upper plate portion 31 and the lower plate portion 32 form first ends 31A, 32A facing the first connecting plate portion 34A and second ends 31B, 32B facing the second connecting plate portion 34B.

For this reason, as shown in FIG. 7(B), a first opening 38A with a deep depth is formed between the first ends 31A and 32A toward the first connecting plate portion 34A, and a second opening 38B with a shallow depth is formed between the second ends 31B and 32B toward the second connecting plate portion 34B.

In the end cover 20 formed as described above, the upper plate portion 31 is provided with a pair of parallel raised portions 39 protruding from the upper surface and a pair of projections 40 protruding from the lower surface. In addition, the lower plate portion 32 is provided with a convex portion 41 protruding from the lower surface and a concave portion 42 recessed from the lower surface, which are arranged side by side on both sides of the width center of the scaffold board main body portion.

(How to attach the end cover)
8 to 10 show a method for attaching the end covers 20 to the longitudinal ends of the scaffold board body 18.

As shown in Figure 8, the end cover 20 is inclined relative to the longitudinal end of the scaffold board main body 18, which is provided with the first claw fitting 19A and the second claw fitting 19B that are of the "internal claw type," so that the first opening 38A faces the first claw fitting 19A. In this inclined position, the first claw fitting 19A is inserted into the first opening 38A, while the floor board 16 and the folded wall 17b that face the first claw fitting 19A are inserted between the first ends 31A, 32A of the upper plate 31 and the lower plate 32.

As a result, the end cover 20 in an inclined position can be advanced toward the first claw fitting 19A in the width direction of the scaffold board main body 18, so that the second end 31B, 32B and the second connecting plate portion 34B can be moved closer to the end of the scaffold board main body 18 without being obstructed by the second claw fitting 19B, i.e., without interfering with the second claw fitting 19B.

Specifically, the end cover 20, which advances in an inclined position as shown in FIG. 8, can be advanced to a position overlapping the bent portion 19b by inserting the first connecting plate portion 34A into the gap s1 of the bent portion 19b of the first claw fitting 19A as shown in FIG. 9. At this time, the second end portions 31B, 32B on the opposite side are in a position that does not interfere with the second claw fitting 19B, and the second connecting plate portion 34B is separated from the bent portion 19b of the second claw fitting 19B, so that the end cover 20 can be changed from the inclined position to a predetermined position parallel to the end of the scaffold board main body portion 18 as shown in FIG. 9. This allows the floor plate portion 16 and the bent wall portion 17b facing the second claw fitting 19B to enter between the second end portions 31B, 32B.

At this time, the end cover 20 has the folded upright wall portion 35 aligned along the edge of the folded wall portion 17b in the scaffold board main body portion 18, and the protrusions 40, 40 of the upper plate portion 31 aligned along the edge of the floor plate portion 16 in the scaffold board main body portion 18.

As shown in Figure 10, the entire end cover 20 is moved along the end of the scaffold board main body 18 as shown by the arrow in the figure, causing the first connecting plate 34A to escape from the gap s1, and when the second connecting portion 34B moves to a position close to the bent portion 19b of the second claw fitting 19B, the end cover 20 is positioned in the widthwise center of the scaffold board main body 18. Therefore, in this state, although not shown, the upper plate 31 is fixed to the floor board 16 by welding or the like, and the lower plate 32 is fixed to the bent wall portion 17b by welding or the like, thereby completing the installation of the end cover 20.

In this state, it is preferable that the first end 31A and the second end 31B of the upper plate portion 31 are configured to cover the bent portions 19b of the first claw fitting 19A and the second claw fitting 19B, respectively.

As shown in Figure 6, when the scaffolding board 15 is installed by mounting the claw fittings 19 on the cross member 13, the upper plate portion 31 of the end cover 20 protrudes from the floor plate portion 16 over almost the entire width of the floor plate portion 16, and the eaves plate portion 33 protrudes to a position above the cross member 13, thereby blocking most of the gap between the end of the floor plate portion 16 and the cross member 13.

As shown, the eaves plate portion 33 is formed in a shape that is approximately trapezoidal in plan view, leaving a gap opening U between both side edges of the eaves plate portion 33 and the claw fittings 19. This opening U allows an operator to insert his fingertip from above to operate the drop lock 24 provided on the inside of the first claw fitting 19A. Therefore, if a configuration is used that does not require fingertip insertion, the eaves plate portion 33 may be formed wide across the entire upper plate portion 31 to close the opening U.

Figure 11 shows the top and bottom surfaces of the end cover 20 attached to the scaffolding board 15, and Figures 12 and 13 show cross sections of the end cover 20.

As shown in FIG. 12, the end cover 20 is positioned at a predetermined position by abutting the folded upright wall portion 35 against the edge of the folded wall portion 17b and the protrusion 40 against the edge of the floor plate portion 16 at the end of the scaffolding board main body portion 18, and the end of the scaffolding board main body portion 18 is sandwiched between the upper plate portion 31 and the lower plate portion 32 and fixed by welding or the like.

When storing or transporting, multiple scaffold boards 15 are stacked vertically. When stacking, as shown in FIG. 13(B), a lower scaffold board 15 with its underside facing up and an upper scaffold board 15 with its underside facing down are stacked vertically as a set of two stacks. At this time, between the two scaffold boards 15, 15 constituting one stack, the convex portion 41 and the concave portion 42 provided on the lower plate portion 32 of the end cover 20 that faces each other are fitted together, thereby preventing misalignment in the longitudinal direction and the width direction. In addition, between multiple stacks, a pair of raised portions 39 provided on the upper plate portion 31 of the end cover 20 that faces each other are engaged from the width direction of the scaffold board so as to be staggered, thereby preventing misalignment in the width direction.

The above embodiment describes the configuration of the "internal claw type" claw fittings 19 and end cover 20 for the half-width scaffolding board 15a, but the configuration of the "internal claw type" claw fittings 19 and end cover 20 for the standard-width scaffolding board 15b is also the same as above except for the dimensions, so the description will be omitted.

Figures 14 to 16 show a "matched" case in which a standard width scaffolding board 15b faces one cross member 13 from one side, and two half-width scaffolding boards 15a, 15a face side-by-side from the other side, with each claw fitting 19 mounted on the cross member 13.

In the case of such "matching", as shown in Figures 15 and 16, the support plate portion 36 of the end cover 20 of the standard width scaffold board 15b and the hook portion 19c of the claw fitting 19 of the half-width scaffold board 15a are opposed to each other at the center of the cross member 13. In this regard, as described above, the support plate portion 36 of the end cover 20 is formed so as to extend obliquely upward from the folded upright wall portion 35 toward the overlapping plate portion 37 of the eaves board portion 33, and the front jaw portion 27 of the hook portion 19c forms an inclined edge 28 on the front surface that slopes obliquely downward from the top, and as shown in Figure 16, the inclined edge 28 and the support plate portion 36 do not interfere with each other, so that the tip of the eaves board portion 33 can be positioned directly above the hook portion 19c.
