Description

The present invention relates to a hinge that connects a second connection object to a first connection object in an openable and closable manner, and to an electronic device that includes the hinge.

Conventionally, many office equipment such as copiers, facsimiles, and scanners are equipped with a document reading unit (contact glass) on the top surface of the main body, as well as a document pressure plate that covers the document reading unit. The document pressure plate presses the document placed on the document reading unit into close contact with the document reading unit and maintains the position of the document relative to the document reading unit.

A known device for connecting the main body of an office machine to an original cover plate is a hinge that includes a first wing member, a cam member fixed to the first wing member, a second wing member rotatably connected to the first wing member via a pivot shaft, a slide member that can move toward and away from the cam member, and a biasing member that biases the slide member toward the cam member, thereby bringing the slide member into contact with the cam member.

In addition, some hinges have a second wing member that is equipped with an intermediate member and a fixed member, and when the fixed member is in an open state (lift state) relative to the intermediate member, the document pressure plate is raised relative to the main body of the multifunction device, allowing a relatively thick document to be placed between the main body (contact glass) and the document pressure plate, and also making it easier to perform maintenance and inspection.
Furthermore, some office machines equipped with such hinges are equipped with a foreign object pinch prevention section that prevents foreign objects such as tools, clothing, or fingers from entering and becoming pinched between the intermediate member and the fixed member from behind the hinge when the intermediate member and the fixed member are open (lifted state) (see Patent Document 1).

However, in such office machines, the foreign object pinch prevention part is provided on the document pressing plate, and when assembling the hinge to the connected object, the foreign object pinch prevention part hanging down from the document pressing plate can get in the way, making the task of assembling the hinge to the connected object tedious.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above situation, and aims to provide a hinge that can be assembled relatively easily.

The problem that the present invention aims to solve is as described above, and the means for solving this problem will be explained next.

Specific examples of office equipment include: (a) a scanner having a function of reading an original document and a function of transmitting image information related to the read original document to another device (e.g., a personal computer); (b) a fax having a function of reading an original document, a function of transmitting image information related to the read original document to another device via a communication line, and a function of printing out image information obtained from another device; (c) a copy machine having a function of reading an original document and a function of printing out image information related to the read original document; and (d) a multifunction machine that combines the functions of the above scanner, fax, and copy machine.

The hinges according to the embodiments described in detail below are all used to connect the original cover 3 to the main body 2 of the multifunction printer 1 in an openable/closable (rotatable) manner, but the use of the hinges according to the present invention is not limited to this.
That is, the hinge according to the present invention is widely applicable to "applications for connecting one of two members (first connection object) to the other member (second connection object) in an openable/closable manner", and is used in, for example, office equipment such as scanners, faxes, copiers, and multifunction machines, automobiles, toilet seats, and various electronic devices such as rice cookers, etc. Examples of hinges for connecting one of two members to the other member in an openable/closable manner include a door portion rotatably connected to the main body of a printer, an original pressing device rotatably connected to the main body of a multifunction machine, a display rotatably connected to a stand, a toilet seat rotatably connected to a toilet seat, and a bonnet rotatably connected to the body of an automobile.

In the following description, the rotation angle θ of the original pressure plate 3 when it is closed (when the lower surface of the original pressure plate 3 is in contact with the upper surface of the main body 2) (more precisely, the rotation angle θ of the original pressure plate 3 relative to the main body 2) is defined as "0 degrees", and the rotation angle θ of the original pressure plate 3 is defined so that the rotation angle θ increases (the rotation angle θ becomes positive) when the original pressure plate 3 rotates in the opening direction (see FIG. 1). In this embodiment, the rotation angle θ of the original pressure plate 3 relative to the main body 2 also coincides with the rotation angle of the second wing member from the closed state relative to the first wing member, which will be described later. For this reason, in this embodiment, both are described as "rotation angle θ".

The first rotating shaft 71 is a generally cylindrical (pin-shaped) member.
The first rotating shaft 71 is inserted through the through hole of the side plates 22 of the intermediate member 20 and the through hole of the side plate 12 of the lower fixed member 10. The intermediate member 20 is rotatably connected to the lower fixed member 10 via the first rotating shaft 71.

The upper fixing member 30 is one embodiment of the fixing member according to the present invention, and is a substantially cylindrical member formed by appropriately bending one metal plate and including a top plate 31 and left and right side plates 32. The upper fixing member 30 is configured to be substantially U-shaped in front view, with the top plate 31 disposed above the side plates 32 and the side plates 32 being bent downward from both the left and right sides of the top plate 31. The upper fixing member 30 is rotatably supported by the intermediate member 20 via a second rotating shaft 72, as described later. The upper fixing member 30 is fixed to the original cover plate 3.
Further, a through hole for mounting the pressure receiving portion 73 is formed in the side plates 32 .

The second pivot shaft 72 is a member that forms a pivot shaft that rotatably connects the upper fixing member 30 to the intermediate member 20. The second pivot shaft 72 is a roughly cylindrical member that is inserted through the front parts of the upper fixing member 30 and the intermediate member 20. As a result, the upper fixing member 30 is rotatably connected to the intermediate member 20 via the second pivot shaft 72.

The pressure receiving portion 73 is configured in a pin shape. The pressure receiving portion 73 is inserted into the through hole of the side plates 32 and fixed to the upper fixing member 30. The surface of the pressure receiving portion 73 on the slider side is configured as a cam surface and abuts against the cam abutment portion 52 of the second slider 50.
It should be noted that the pressure receiving portion 73 is not limited to a pin-shaped portion, but may have other configurations, such as a configuration formed by bending a plate-shaped member.

The first slider 40 is an embodiment of a sliding member according to the present invention. The first slider 40 is made of a resin material.
The first slider 40 includes a main body 41 having a bottom, and a cam abutment portion 42 protruding rearward (outside the main body 41) from the rear surface of the bottom of the main body 41. The first slider 40 is configured to abut against a cam member 75 at the rear surface of the cam abutment portion 42. A spring receiving hole that accommodates the rear end portion of the spring 60 is formed in the first slider 40 (main body 41). The first slider 40 is accommodated in the rear portion of the interior of the intermediate member 20 so as to be slidable in the front-rear direction.

The second slider 50 is an embodiment of a sliding member according to the present invention. The second slider 50 is made of a resin material.
The second slider 50 is open at the rear and has a bottom at the front. The second slider 50 has a cam abutment portion 52 at the front surface of the bottom. A spring receiving hole for accommodating the front end of a spring 60 is formed in the second slider 50.

In this embodiment, the combination of the intermediate member 20, the upper fixed member 30, the first slider 40, the second slider 50, the second pivot shaft 72, and the pressure receiving portion 73 corresponds to one embodiment of the second wing member according to the present invention. In other words, one embodiment of the second wing member according to the present invention comprises the intermediate member 20, the upper fixed member 30, the first slider 40, the second slider 50, the second pivot shaft 72, and the pressure receiving portion 73. Then, the upper fixed member 30 is fixed to the original cover 3, and the second wing member is fixed to the second connection object.

In this embodiment, the state in which the second wing member is closest to the first wing member is the "closed state" of the second wing member (the document cover 3 is closed relative to the main body 2) (see FIG. 9). The closed state refers to a state in which the rotation angle θ of the second wing member relative to the first wing member from the closed state is 0 degrees. Also, the state in which the second wing member is furthest away from the first wing member is the "open state" of the second wing member (see FIG. 8). The open state refers to a state in which the document cover 3 is open relative to the main body 2 and the rotation angle θ is 90 degrees.

The spring 60 is one embodiment of a biasing member, and is made of a metal coil spring (compression spring). The spring 60 is housed inside the intermediate member 20 (in the spring receiving holes of the first slider 40 and the second slider 50).

The rear end of the spring 60 is inserted into a spring receiving hole formed in the first slider 40 and abuts against the bottom surface of the spring receiving hole. The front end of the spring 60 is inserted into a spring receiving hole formed in the second slider 50 and abuts against the bottom surface of the spring receiving hole.

The spring 60 generates a biasing force, i.e., the force (elastic force) that causes the spring 60, which has been elastically deformed in the direction of compression, to return to its original shape (the shape when no external force is acting), biases the first slider 40 in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate member 20 in a direction approaching the first pivot shaft 71, and biases the second slider 50 in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate member 20 in a direction approaching the pressure-receiving portion 73.

The damper 62 is housed in the spring receiving holes of the first slider 40 and the second slider 50. The main body of the damper 62 is fixed to the bottom of the second slider 50, and its tip protrudes toward the first rotating shaft 71. The damper 62 generates a reaction force when the tip receives a pressing force from the bottom of the first slider 40. Therefore, the reaction force reduces the speed at which the first slider 40 moves, and a buffering effect is generated by the damper 62. The damper 62 is configured as a general fluid damper.

The cam member 75 is a generally cylindrical (pin-shaped) member. The cam member 75 is disposed below and in front of the first pivot shaft 71, and is attached to the lower fixed member 10. The cam member 75 abuts against the cam abutment portion 42 (rear surface of the cam abutment portion 42) of the first slider 40. When the second wing member is in the closed state, the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 abuts against the cam member 75, and the cam abutment portion 52 of the second slider 50 abuts against the pressure receiving portion 73. In addition, when the pivot angle θ of the second wing member is greater than 60 degrees, the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 is separated from the cam member 75.

When the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 abuts against the cam member 75 and the cam abutment portion 52 of the second slider 50 abuts against the pressure receiving portion 73, the elastic force generated in the spring 60 urges the intermediate member 20 (second wing member) to rotate in an opening direction relative to the lower fixed member 10, and urges the upper fixed member 30 to rotate in a closing direction relative to the intermediate member 20. At this time, the tip of the damper 62 is pressed by the bottom of the second slider 50 and pushed into the main body of the damper 62.

In this embodiment, when the rotation angle θ of the second wing member from the closed state relative to the first wing member is in a first region from 0 degrees to a first predetermined angle φ1 (when 0 degrees≦θ≦φ1), the elastic force generated in the spring 60 rotates the second wing member in a direction to open the first wing member. For example, the first predetermined angle φ1 is set to 60 degrees (rotation angle θ = first predetermined angle φ1 = 60 degrees). Note that the first predetermined angle φ1 can also be set to an angle other than 60 degrees.

In this embodiment, the shape of the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 or the cam member 75 is predetermined so that the rotational force attempting to close the hinge 100 due to the weight of the original pressure plate 3 fixed to the upper fixed member 30 and the rotational force attempting to open the hinge 100 due to the biasing force of the spring 60 are roughly balanced.
By configuring in this manner, when the operator releases the document cover 3 while the rotation angle θ of the document cover 3 relative to the main body 2 of the multifunction printer 1 is in the range from 0 degrees to φ1, the rotation angle θ is maintained.

The fence member 80 is disposed near the cam member 75 and below the cam abutment portion 42 of the cam member 75 and the first slider 40 (in front of the abutment portion of the cam member 75 and the first slider 40 when the second wing member is in the open state). The fence member 80 prevents foreign matter (e.g., a document, etc.) from entering the abutment portion side of the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75 from the outside of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75 from the closed state to the open state of the intermediate member 20 (over the entire range of rotation of the intermediate member 20). The fence member 80 is configured to block the space with the outside by making the cam member 75 (the abutment portion of the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75) invisible from the lower outside or the front outside, etc.
The fence member 80 is supported so as to be suspended (rotatable) from the first slider 40 (the cam abutment portion 42). The fence member 80 is configured to be movable together with the pivoting movement of the intermediate member 20 or the moving movement of the first slider 40.

The fence member 80 includes a main body portion 81 and a pair of arms 82 .
The main body portion 81 is formed in a plate shape having a width substantially equal to the left-right width of the cam member 75 .
The arms 82 protrude outward and then upward from the left and right upper ends of the main body 81. The arms 82 have convex portions at the upper protruding ends that protrude inward in the left-right direction.
The cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 has a recess at approximately the center of each of the left and right side surfaces, and the left and right protrusions of the fence member 80 are inserted into the recesses, thereby supporting the fence member 80 on the first slider 40 (cam abutment portion 42).

In this way, the fence member 80 is supported so as to hang from the first slider 40, and is positioned near the cam member 75 and below the cam member 75 and the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 (in front of the abutment portion between the cam member 75 and the first slider 40 when the second wing member is in the open state), and prevents foreign matter (such as a document) from entering the abutment portion between the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75 from the outside of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75. Therefore, from the closed state to the open state of the second wing member, for example, a document placed on the upper surface of the main body 2 can be reliably prevented from entering the abutment portion between the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75, and causing oil to adhere to the document.
In addition, the fence member 80 is configured to block the space between the outside and the contact portion between the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75 so that it is not visible from the outside. This reduces the exposed portion of the member (such as the first slider 40) made of a resin material or the like, making the hinge 100 relatively flame-retardant.

It is possible to set the intermediate member 20 in an open state relative to the lower fixed member 10 (for example, a state in which the intermediate member 20 is opened 20 degrees relative to the lower fixed member 10) and the upper fixed member 30 in an open state relative to the intermediate member 20 (for example, a state in which the upper fixed member 30 is at 0 degrees relative to the lower fixed member 10). By setting it in this state, the document pressing plate 3 can be raised relative to the main body 2 of the multifunction device 1, and a relatively thick document can be placed between the main body 2 (the contact glass at the upper end of the main body 2) and the document pressing plate 3, and also maintenance, inspection, and the like can be easily performed.
In the following, for convenience, the state in which the upper fixing member 30 is open relative to the intermediate member 20 will be referred to as the "lifted state", and the state in which the upper fixing member 30 is closed relative to the intermediate member 20 (the state in which the intermediate member 20 and the upper fixing member 30 are closest to each other) will be referred to as the "lift-released state".

In the lift-released state, the upper fixing member 30 is disposed so as to cover the outside of the intermediate member 20. That is, the top plate 31 of the upper fixing member 30 is disposed above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20, and the side plates 32, 32 of the upper fixing member 30 are disposed on the left and right outer sides of the side plates 22, 22 of the intermediate member 20.
In addition, in the lift-released state, a predetermined space is formed between the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20 and the top plate 31 of the upper fixing member 30. The space is configured as a storage section 95 that stores a shielding member 91 of a foreign object pinching prevention section 90, which will be described later.

In the lifted state, the foreign object pinch prevention section 90 prevents foreign objects (e.g., tools, clothing, fingers, etc.) from entering and becoming pinched between the intermediate member 20 and the upper fixing member 30 from the outside of the intermediate member 20 and the upper fixing member 30 (the rear outside of the hinge 100).
The foreign object pinching prevention unit 90 includes a shielding member 91 , an attachment member 93 , and a guide member 94 .

The shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 is made of a resin material that is elastically deformable and has a relatively high flame retardancy, and is configured in a band shape. The left and right width of the shielding member 91 is configured to be approximately the same as the left and right width of the intermediate member 20 or the upper fixing member 30. The shielding member 91 (one end of the shielding member 91) is provided on the upper fixing member 30 (the rear end of the upper fixing member 30).

The shielding member 91 of the foreign object trapping prevention unit 90 is configured to assume a predetermined arrangement in each of the lifted state and the lift-released state.
In the lifted state, the rear portion (at least a part) of the shielding member 91 is arranged from the rear end of the upper fixing member 30 to the end of the intermediate member 20 opposite to the side where the second rotating shaft 72 is arranged (the rear end of the upper fixing member 30) so as to hang down downward from the end (the rear end of the upper fixing member 30) opposite to the side where the second rotating shaft 72 is arranged. In this way, in the lifted state, the shielding member 91 is configured to be invisible from the rear outside of the intermediate member 20 and the upper fixing member 30, and to shield the space with the outside. Also, in the lifted state, the front portion of the shielding member 91 is arranged above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20, from the rear end of the intermediate member 20 to the midway between the front and rear.
In the lift-released state, the shielding member 91 is arranged so as to be stored within the storage portion 95 (between the intermediate member 20 and the upper fixing member 30).

As described above, since the shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinch prevention section 90 is provided on the upper fixed member 30, when assembling the hinge 100 to the object to be connected (the main body 2 of the multifunction printer 1 or the original document pressing plate 3), it is possible to prevent the foreign object pinch prevention section 90 hanging down from the original document pressing plate 3 from getting in the way and making the assembling work of the hinge 100 tedious.
Therefore, in a configuration requiring the foreign object pinch prevention portion 90 , the hinge 100 can be assembled relatively easily compared to a configuration in which the foreign object pinch prevention portion 90 is provided on the original cover 3 .

Here, the hinge 100 is generally transported in a closed state (unlifted state).
In the hinge 100, when the lift is released, the shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinch prevention section 90 is positioned within the storage section 95, so that, for example, during transport, the other end (the end opposite the side fixed to the upper fixing member 30) of the shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinch prevention section 90 does not protrude.
Therefore, according to the hinge 100, even if the hinge 100 includes the foreign object pinching prevention portion 90 (shielding member 91), the configuration in the closed state can be made not bulky (compact configuration).

The attachment member 93 of the foreign object pinching prevention portion 90 attaches and fixes the shielding member 91 to the upper fixing member 30. The attachment member 93 is a flat plate-shaped member whose longitudinal direction is the left-right direction.
The rear end of the top plate 31 of the upper fixing member 30 is bent so as to protrude rearward and upward. With the rear end (one end) of the shielding member 91 sandwiched between the rear surface of the rear end of the top plate 31 of the upper fixing member 30 and the mounting member 93, the mounting member 93 is fixed to the rear end of the top plate 31 of the upper fixing member 30 with a screw or the like, thereby mounting the shielding member 91 (one end of the shielding member 91) to the upper fixing member 30.
The left and right width of the attachment member 93 is configured to be approximately the same as the left and right width of the upper fixing member 30 or the shielding member 91. The attachment member 93 is configured to span across the left and right sides of the shielding member 91 (the short side sides of the shielding member 91).

In this way, the attachment member 93 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 is configured to extend across the left and right sides of the shielding member 91, so that when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state and from the lifted state to the lift-released state, the shielding member 91 can be prevented from bending or warping.

The guide member 94 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 guides the shielding member 91 so that the shielding member 91 moves smoothly when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state, and when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lifted state to the lifted state. The guide member 94 also guides the shielding member 91 so that the shielding member 91 is in the above-mentioned predetermined arrangement when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state, and when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lifted state to the lifted state.

In this way, when the positioning state of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state, or when the positioning state of the shielding member 91 changes from the lifted state to the lifted state, the guide member 94 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 guides the shielding member 91 so that the shielding member 91 assumes the above-mentioned predetermined positioning state. This allows the positioning state of the shielding member 91 to be stably changed from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state.

The guide member 94 of the foreign object pinching prevention portion 90 is a rod-shaped member that is provided between the side plates 22, 22 of the intermediate member 20 and is disposed above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20 so that a slight gap (a gap that is at least larger than the thickness of the shielding member 91) is formed between the guide member 94 and the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20. The guide member 94 is disposed in the storage portion 95 in the lift-released state.
The rear ends of the side plates 22 of the intermediate member 20 are formed so as to protrude upward (towards the upper fixed member 30), and a through hole is formed in each of the protruding portions of the side plates 22. The guide member 94 is fixed in a state in which it is inserted into the through hole of the side plates 22 of the intermediate member 20, and is disposed so as to span between the side plates 22 of the intermediate member 20.
The shielding member 91 is configured such that the front end (other end) of the shielding member 91 is inserted between the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20 and the guide member 94 from behind the guide member 94, and extends forward (towards the second pivot shaft 72) above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20.

In this way, the guide member 94 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 is disposed so as to span between the side plates 22, 22 of the intermediate member 20 and is disposed above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20, and the other end of the shielding member 91 is inserted between the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20 and the guide member 94 from behind the guide member 94 and is configured to extend toward the second pivot shaft 72 above the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20. This makes it possible to realize a simple configuration for guiding the shielding member 91 so that the shielding member 91 assumes the above-mentioned predetermined arrangement when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes.

The shielding member 91 of the foreign object trapping prevention unit 90 has a notch portion 92 .
The cutout portion 92 of the shielding member 91 is formed by cutting out the center of the shielding member 91 along the longitudinal direction of the shielding member 91. The cutout portion 92 of the shielding member 91 is formed in the left-right center of the shielding member 91, extending from near the rear end portion to near the front end portion of the shielding member 91.
The intermediate member 20 includes a protrusion 23 .
The protruding portion 23 of the intermediate member 20 is formed at the left-right center of the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20 so as to protrude upward from the upper surface of the top plate 21 of the intermediate member 20. The protruding portion 23 of the intermediate member 20 is inserted into the notch portion 92 of the shielding member 91.
When the arrangement of the shielding member 91 transitions from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state, the front-rear position at which the protrusion 23 of the intermediate member 20 is inserted into the notch 92 of the shielding member 91 transitions.

In this way, the shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinching prevention unit 90 has a notch 92, and the intermediate member 20 has a protrusion 23 that is inserted into the notch 92 of the shielding member 91. When the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state, the front-to-rear position of the protrusion 23 of the intermediate member 20 that is inserted into the notch 92 of the shielding member 91 changes, so that when the arrangement of the shielding member 91 changes from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state, the shielding member 91 can be prevented from shifting left or right. Therefore, the arrangement of the shielding member 91 can be stably changed from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state.

The shielding member 91 of the foreign object pinch prevention unit 90 can also be configured in a blind shape with multiple elongated members connected in a line perpendicular to the axial direction, so that the arrangement can be changed from the lift-released state to the lifted state or from the lifted state to the lift-released state.

The hinge 100 includes a cover member 85 .
The cover member 85 is a member that is formed by appropriately bending a single metal plate so as to have a front plate, a lower plate, and a pair of side plates, and is fixed to the second slider 50.
The cover member 85 is configured so that the inside of the second wing member is not exposed (not visible from the outside). The cover member 85 is configured to cover the front opening and the lower opening (the bottom side of the second wing member) of the intermediate member 20 so that the first slider 40, the second slider 50, the spring 60, the damper 62, etc. are not exposed. The front plate of the cover member 85 is disposed in front of the first slider 40, and the pair of side plates of the cover member 85 are disposed on the left and right outer sides of the side plates 21, 21 of the intermediate member 20. The lower plate of the cover member 85 is disposed below the lower opening of the intermediate member 20, below the abutment portion between the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 and the cam member 75, and below the fence member 80.

In this way, the cover member 85 covers the lower opening of the intermediate member 20 so that the inside of the second wing member is not exposed, and this reduces the exposed portion of the members (such as the first slider 40) inside the hinge 100 that are made of a resin material or the like, making the hinge 100 relatively flame-retardant.

The shielding member 91 of the foreign object trap prevention unit 90 can also be made of a material that is relatively flame-retardant. By configuring it in this way, the hinge 100 can be made to be relatively flame-retardant.

The hinge 100 also includes a partition member 76 .
The partition member 76 is disposed within the lower fixed member 10 (first wing member) and is configured to divide the space within the lower fixed member 10 into upper and lower parts. The partition member 76 is configured so that the cam member 75 and the first rotating shaft 71 are not exposed (not visible from below) when viewed from below (the side opposite to the first wing member).
The partition member 76 includes a pair of left and right side plate portions 77 , 77 and a partition portion 78 .

The pair of side plate portions 77, 77 of the partition member 76 are disposed so as to be adjacent to the pair of side plates 11, 11 on the inner side of the pair of side plates 11, 11 of the lower fixing member 10. A through hole for inserting the cam member 75 is opened in the front part of the side plate portion 77 of the partition member 76, and a through hole for inserting the first rotating shaft 71 is opened in the rear part of the side plate portion 77 of the partition member 76. The partition member 76 is fixed to the lower fixing member 10 (inside the lower fixing member 10) with the cam member 75 inserted in the through hole in the front part of the side plate portion 77 and the first rotating shaft 71 inserted in the through hole in the rear part of the side plate portion 77.

The partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 is generally plate-shaped. The partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 is arranged so as to extend from the cam member 75 (the lower portion of the cam member 75) to the back plate 13 of the lower fixed member 10 (below the first pivot shaft 71). The partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 is also arranged across the left and right side plates 11 of the lower fixed member 10 and is configured to connect a pair of side plate portions 77 (lower portions of the side plate portions 77). The partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 is arranged below the cam member 75 and the first pivot shaft 71 when attached to the lower fixed member 10. The partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 divides the lower fixed member 10 into the side where the cam member 75 and the first pivot shaft 71 are arranged (upper side) and the side opposite to the side where the cam member 75 and the first pivot shaft 71 are arranged (lower side). The cam member 75 and the first pivot shaft 71 are positioned below the cam member 75 and the first pivot shaft 71 so that they are not exposed when viewed from below (the side opposite the first wing member).

In this way, the partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 is disposed within the lower fixed member 10 and configured so that the cam member 75 and the first rotating shaft 71 are not exposed when viewed from below (the bottom plate 11 side of the lower fixed member 10).
Therefore, the exposed portion of the inside of the hinge 100 can be reduced, and the hinge 100 can be configured to have a relatively high flame retardancy.

10 to 13, the partition member 76 can be formed by appropriately bending a single metal plate to include a pair of left and right side plate portions 77, 77 and a partition portion 78 connecting the side plate portions 77, 77. In this case, the side plate portions 77 and the partition portion 78 of the partition member 76 are each formed in a flat plate shape.
Also, as shown in Figures 11 to 13, the cam abutment portion 42 of the first slider 40 can be configured to abut against the cam member 75 from the closed state to the fully open state of the second wing member, regardless of the rotation angle of the second wing member.
